Panimalar Engineering College Chennai, BE, Computer Science And Engineering

Reviewed on Nov 15, 2020(Enrolled 2018)

Remarks

This college is strict and I didn't volunteer to join in this college. My parents forced me to join in the college. There is no co-education in this college.its hard to cope up with the other sex.food is good.transpot facilities are also good.there will be very few cultural activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Actually computer science and engineering is a very popular branch almost in every college they try to join in cse.many of the facilities are good but very few faculties are dumb.the academics are good. You will get a feeling that you are in a high school not in a college.you cant speak to girls you cant get out of the classroom you cant use your mobile etc etc.

Class Size: 60

Placement Experience

2.5

The placements are quite good, but we need to get the good percentage in the college.if you didnt get the placements in the college dont worry anna university caucus is valid throughout india.

College Events

2.5

There will be no social clubs.the infrastructure is old. there will be nothing but classes in the college.we cannot enjoy in the college.totally waste of college life.i would not recommend thsi college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tution fees is 140000. Hostel fees is 75000.i paid a donation of 450000.it is a pretty old college.u eill get some amount of scholarship if u get the top marks.the campus placements are also good.they will not provide any financial assistance.the fees need to be paid before the academic year in a single payment

Admission

No I didn't face any group discussion interview or written test for the admission. The admission procedure was quite simple.u just need to pay the amount said by them

Overall Good

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every. One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

A Good College Experience with Opportunities for Learning and Growth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and comprehensive, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. It provides a good foundation for technical knowledge, but including more industry-oriented projects, hands-on training, and updated technologies would make it even better for future career opportunities.

Likes

It is better than my old college and giving free food and place to sit in the college campus.
In sports they are also helping for dearness allowance for playing matches and travelling.
They are also giving us the space to study and ask doubts without any hesitation

Dislikes

Canteen is not good and it is very congested
Some of teachers are not coming to the classes properly and they are also not teaching properly
Home guard is the problem in college. They are always making issues while parking the vehicles

Course Curriculum Overview:

Studying Master of commerce is okay. The same thing and few same subjects which I studied in undergraduate. Classes are good and we are also having some gaps. Not a big difference and 1 or 2 subjects are new for us. I want to suggest that to give holiday after the semester exams. But not before that. It is quite difficult for us to study. It will be easy for us to ask doubts.

Panimalar : A paradise For The Learners

My cutoff for engineering was too low to join this college but the only thing that was a favour to me is my community. I come under a reserved community, and my friends who are from other communities with higher cutoff than me couldn't make it to Panimalar. My admission to this college was through Government Counselling by choice filling. Before my choice filling, I've heard a lot about Panimalar through Social Media and I've got fascinated by their placement percentage, food quality, transport quality, etc... So, I placed panimalar at the top of the choice list and It's the only college I chose from Chennai. I've made choices majorly from Trichy like K Ramakrishna Engineering College, Saaranathan Engineering College, MAM Engineering College and other colleges around Perambalur, Salem. I was so happy when I got an admission in Panimalar. They invited me directly to the college for the admission process. Me with my dad went for the admission. There was a huge queue sitting in front of us. We got amazed by the demand for the admission in this college. After all our time in the queue we finally got into the admission room. They first got all required documents and xeroxes from us including the printout of the admission invitation. Then we paid the fees for the first year including book fees. Then the faculty members clearly explained me about the rules of this collge....Read More
