My Experience So Far Being a Biomedical Engineering Student at Netaji Subhash Engineering College.

My reason for choosing this College was my wish to study Biomedical Engineering. Students receive ample option like higher studies, Hospital services and Companies on Campus, TCS being the mass recruiter along with Siemens, Medtronic, WIPRO, INFOSYS, Amazon, Cognizant Microsoft. The placement ratio is really high. And my department feels like a family, including our dignified faculty members with great guidance for those MS, M-Tech aspirants. Very friendly approach towards teaching and the teachers knows how to delve deep in minds of the students for their well being and success. Nearly 95 percent of placement is offered here with a package starting from (3 -12)lacks p.a and everyone is eligible for campus interviews. Good Infrastructure and the Student's Body provide opportunities for a Competitive Approach with leisurely extracurricular activities like photography, social services, sports and many more. A beautiful campus and enormous Library to hop in to enrich minds.

Being an aspirant for Research and Development in Biomedical Engineering this course was my best fit. The course curriculum covers all theory and practical based prospects for one to know it all about Medical Technology. It is the bridge between technology and the medical field. BME faculty members genuinely care for their students and help them regarding each and every possible aspect related to the course, placement and provide sufficient knowledge and encouragement to the department as a whole. Our batch strength was previously 30 but recently it's increased to 60 due to increasing demand for BME. I have been receiving enormous mental support from my tutors for my progress through a term of these three years.BME is NBA accredited Program and the College is NAAC accredited along with affiliations from AICTE, WBSCTE and MAKAUT. Various international events are conducted by our department collaborating with students and universities worldwide and a great opportunity to pursue higher studies abroad.

The college and the BME department offers various training and internship opportunities on campus and off campus both. There are many hands on training Organised by the college for honing our experience in our respective fields.

The placement ratio of BME is really high. The college allows campus placement with proper pre-campusing guidance. All students are eligible for campus interviews from the 6-7th semester. Various companies including Capgemini, Medtronic, Siemens, TCS, Cognizant, INFOSYS, WIPRO, Microsoft, Amazon comes to our college during campusing. With an Average package starting from 3-12 lacks the students need not fear about placement provided they work hard. Nearly 95% of students get placed from our department and the rest 5% includes the ones opting for higher studies. Being an aspirant for Research in the Biomedical field I have been receiving proper counselling and encouragement from my tutors so far. I plan for doing MS abroad after receiving my B-Tech degree for which I have been preparing or doing M-Tech through GATE.

The fee structure is affordable comprising 80000 to 84000 for two semesters a year. Sufficient financial support is provided to the students on the necessary occasion of a crisis. The college never forces the students to make payments keeping healthy relationships and providing sufficient time to the ones who are in need.

The Campus Life in NSEC is really fun. Our annual inter-college tech fest Avenir and intra college tech fest Aavahan and Brainstormer are being very successfully organised by the student's tech club Phoenix. Phoenix itself consists of several sub clubs like Eloquence, Robonix, Cybernix, Nirmaan, Lensified along with clubs for Gaming, Fun, Sports etc. The events are being managed by the students with the full support of the College. Being an active member of Lensified, the Photography Club of NSEC, I can say that these clubs provide the needed recreation and opportunity for the students not to forget their hobbies.BME holds its own fests like Freshers, Aagaman, and Homecoming, Sriti where the students get a chance to interact with their seniors making a great connection for prospects in their career. The Classrooms being spacious and well equipped with modern technologies, laboratories are maintained well and the Library is huge meeting all educational needs. The Campus is beautiful.

I had taken the WBJEE and with my rank, the admission procedure was carried out. I got in on the first round of screening. The admission is entirely merit based with a high preference for skill and knowledge. There was a group discussion held in which questions were asked regarding my aspirations or planning for the future education aim. My Job recruitment if any and the amount of guidance I need in education was recognised within the GD.
