Priyanshi Naredi's Review On Vellore Institute Of Technology - [VIT University], Vellore

This college even after having a lot of students have good faculties for Computer science and another college where I wished to go was not giving me a satisfactory CS branch. The admission process was really smooth we got a call every time there was something important to be notified though I know it must be for their own benefit. The main reason to prefer this college over others will definitely be the opportunity and exposure that we get here it's just we have to stand out from the crowd or u are the general Engineering student to complete the degree. I referred to many pages to know about this college where there were positive input and negative but no one college has no negative points so looking into good we made a decision to be confined to this college. Though I still wish to go to higher colleges I don't regret getting into VIT because it gave me no reason to make a complaint.

I was always too much dedicated to Mathematics and As was researching for a good course in VIT. VIT has a really good faculty for Data science and it's the sight of interest so why not give a big chance to it because there is no less demand for data scientists. Per faculty has 50 around students but teachers never let us feel left out at least when we are online because they have always given preference to each of one. Though teaching right now is really tuff for teachers. And understanding in such a way too but no one has got a choice. The teacher here is more or less qualifies but as I said the branch I am in is given to respected teachers so have all qualified ones. There is nothing like difficulty it's upon us how much we study but teachers have made efforts always some teachers make really hard papers but we have to positive with all. All the exams like 3 incomplete semesterss are taken on time.

I am really unaware of this to a high extent but a bit sure that this is also great like always seniors have mentioned about getting an internship in good companies. Many are not stipend but it really depends on our performance.

Students are eligible from 3 rd year and 2nd years have opportunities but not officially sitting in placement blocks. There are numerous foreign and Indian companies and startups that reach out to the college for students in which 1000s are placed in the best company. Last year as I remember highest package went to 50 lakh and avg is around 23 lakh. Percentage as in grades is always considered to be above 9 to get into good companies but getting into any random. Companies may provide upto 8.5 even.

The fees with what I got into Data science is a bit more than required but when I compare to other college people exposure I feel safe about giving a bit more money and joining a really loved branch. But yes the fees can always be decreased. Till now there was no opportunity for JOBs but yes definitely my college always has a mailing system to let us know about the opportunities that we can grab to and people yes are into scholarships I m not much into it so unaware of names.

I have not been to college yet so unaware of the social life at campus and the environment there but definitely can mention the facts heard. The annual fest is Rivera and Gravitas which is the largest event in around Feb and Sept they are great people from across the country who come to witness this event though there is alot of crowd it's a worth crowd. VIT holds a big library as I have seen there are numerous books from all branches and fields. VIT is a large cpus providing all sorts of playing grounds and girls do have special badminton courts in their hostel region there are gums with all the best equipment available. There are 100 s of clubs and chapters maintained by students and most of them have international and national recognition.Every society males a new website which can be helpful to people some of VIT.
