Remarks
Almost the entire 1st year of our college time is scheduled to be online, but I must say, even on the online platform, the teachers are dedicated to teaching us without any shortcomings. They try to take care of covering Academic Curriculum with sincerity. I chose this college after recommendations from few teachers, who said that the research faculty at NSEC is good. Overall, I am satisfied with choosing NSEC. My admission process was through counselling via WBJEE rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
The overall teaching faculty of NSEC are sincere and are dedicated to teaching students, and they provide good knowledge for the subject. Though in the tough COVID times, teaching online has been hectic for both teachers and students, we still got enough knowledge on our course contents.
Internships Opportunities
I am still studying in the 1st year, so no such internships have been brought up to us, but industrial training are held from the 3rd year onwards while providing students with internships along with stipends.
Placement Experience
The placement offers are pretty decent for the CSE and ECE departments with an average package of 4.0 LPA. There are mass recruiters like TCS, Cognizant providing a number of jobs as well as there are big names like Amazon who visit the college. In the academic year 2020, 72% of the eligible students have been placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
My entire 4-year costings are amounting to Rs. 3,93,000.00 which is pretty much what one can expect from a private college. Scholarships of any sorts weren't applicable to me, as I was from the General Caste. The scholarships are expected to be applicable from 3rd year, hence no such knowledge on them.
Campus Life
The annual tech fest of NSEC is the 'Avenir' is a stage where our college students get to compete with other colleges and showcase their talents. Also, the annual fest is a big event for the college and celebrated in all its glory. There are also a lot of club activities carried out around the college. The tech club Phoenix, Rotaract Club, Writing Club, ED Cell, Sports Club are trying their level best to conduct online events even in the present situation.
Interview Experience
The main exams through which one can get into NSEC are via WBJEE or JEE Mains. I got into NSEC via WBJEE counselling. The entire counselling process was conducted online this year for the COVID pandemic.
