Remarks
Negetive: The location of the location is odd. Students have a problem with this factor.They have to rush for the train. College life is strict here a little bit.Positive: But the placement is good here from its starting.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is on Computer science Engineering on Academy of Technology affiliated under the university of Maulana Abul Kalam University of Technology (Makaut ) . It contains 4 years BTECH course. It has 8 semesters , the duration of each semester is 6 months. In between the semester we have to sit in internal examination , have to submit assaignment to gain continuous assasment marks (CA marks). The exam is divided into two portion -1. Written examination and 2. Lab examination. We have to clear all the examination to obtain the BTECH degree.
Placement Experience
Placements are really very good and promising in the college. Almost 99% students of Computer science got placed in last 4 years.(you can check it on the college website) . The placement in CSE and ECE is very good. Though this year the placement of Mechanical engineering is little bit bad. Various companies like TCS, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS , MINDTREE come in our campus.
College Events
1.Our college has cultural event named ' Arcadia ' - it is the college festival happened every year for 2 days in a very festive mood.2. we have another cultural festival 'Regatta ' which is the freshers welcome function.3. College arranges Techfest every year with lot of exciting events!
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are limited by Makaut as it is affiliated by MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD UNIVERSITY (MAKAUT). The fees per semester is nearly 40-42k. Total sem fees in 4 years is 3.59 lack. College took some rupees for the placement training also.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is loan offered by our College Academy of Technology (AOT) for the neady students who have passion for learning technology. In the time of admission you can see different types of banks who want to pay loans to students.
Campus Life
Football, Basketball are practiced in our College.There is coach also for this. College has a gym for the students. Sports events are organised. Labs are well equipped, clean and well maintained. There is enough room for thr students in the lab.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel of the college is good. It has volleyball court, basketball court, football ground. Hostel is good and clean. But there are too much restrictions.You are not allowed after 8 pm. There are lot of paying guest accommodations (PG and Mess ) nearby.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good in our College. Seniors try to keep in touch in our College. Some of them still run some social media pages about our College. Some students visit in the special occasion like Cultural Fest.
Admission
I sat on the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination ( in short WBJEE ) and secured a rank. After that I went through a councilling process of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Council. After that I am eligible for Btech in Computer science in Academy of Technology , It is under the university MAKAUT.
Faculty
Some faculties of our College are really good. They always try to interact with the students and help them. Student can go to them in the recess time also. Some teachers are really very qualified and give quality contents. However the lab faculty needs to be more good.
