Remarks

It is No. 1 private institute for engineering in India, This University has vast campus Admission Process1. You have to give VITEEE2. If selected you'll have to attend counselling in any one of 4 campuses in Vellore, Chennai, AP or, Bhopal3. Pay the tution fees4. DoneBadPDA is banned in campus i.e. you can't interact with gender of opposite sex physically except hand shake

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are very good and there are lot of faculties for every subject and faculties are very helpfulFaculty: student ratio is around 1:60Best thing is there is system called FFCS ( Fully Flexible Credit System) in which each student can make their own timetable for semester according to his/her choice but need to keep in mind that they have to complete a given amount of credit by end of course.Teaching method is very advanced, all computerized.Term exams are always in same month and are moderately difficult to pass

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Some of the companies are Google, Microsoft, BHEL, Infosys etc. Highest package this year was 49 lakhs and average was 6 lakhs and 100% of students were placed.

College Events

There is annual fest called Riviera which is India's 6th biggest college fest and a tech fest called Gravitas which happens every year in month of February and October respectively. There are lots of books and journals available in library, whatever you need for your study you will surely find in the library. There are smart boards in classroom for teaching and labs are very good and well maintained. There are like tournament s for every sport in VIT from cricket to football to everything. There are nearly 160 - 170 clubs and chapters in VIT run by students. Some famous clubs and chapters are ASME-VIT, Codechef VIT, Sigma Xi, ACM VIT etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tution fees hike is very rare but Hostel fee hike is done every year. You get scholarship for securing between 1-1000 rank in VIT's entrance test called VITEEE. You also get student loan from the University itself and jobs are pretty good with average stipend of 5.5 - 6 lakhs

Hostel is very good, best part is you get to choose your room and your roommate at end of every year on the basis of how good is your CGPA. Hostels are very affordable and also very well maintained some hostels are like 5 star hotels literally

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

I like the MBA to learn about the marketing domain and gather the proper information. And I planned to do the course in the KVIM and they used the digital methods to the course and the give the proper content to succeed the course

My great experience in HIMT

Likes

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Likes

Exams can be usually easy as this is a five year integrated course
Some faculties are friendly as they themselves are fresh graduates

Dislikes

But most faculties come off very rude and disrespectful
The office people are not at all approachable
The student login has so many glitches which cause delays in downloading of hallticket

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.
