Remarks
JIS College of Engineering is one of the best institutes in West Bengal. I've taken admission through direct admission based on WBJEE rand and board exam marks. JIS College of Engineering has the best ECE department having a good number of faculties with sound knowledge and excellent teaching quality. Our campus is well maintained pollution-free, green environment, wifi availed campus. I've heard from seniors that faculties especially of ECE departments are very helpful here. Latter I have personally seen them help even out of college hours.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties over here are awesome, they help not only in academics but also to make good projects, prototypes to build a strong resume, and LinkedIn profile for placements. Here Faculties are specialized in a wide area of technology. Here maximum faculties of the ECE department are Ph.D. holders and some of them are pursuing Ph.D. from recognized universities across India. Here campus is very strict about studies, but don't worry it's for your betterment, latter you'll understand like me. Even in the global COVID 19 pandemic, our exam was conducted virtually which helped us to sit in placements.
Internships Opportunities
Our college has MoA with some great colleges across the globe. Our friends have visited MIPT Russia, AIT Bangkok for their internships. Our department arranges internships at various Companies and even in government research sectors.
Placement Experience
Approx 70 companies visit our campus, ECE department is best for placements. As of 2021 maximum students of ECE is placed in MNCs while some of us having multiple job offer at MNCs. Our department arranges placements for core ECE students apart from placement cell.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike is very less here, I've taken admission in 2017 at the cost of approx. 400000 Rs for my course. The little hike may be there but it's for the development of the students. We are one of the luckiest batches to attain class if flip classroom. Only JISCE is the institute having a flip classroom in west Bengal. Here is my college, I got a scholarship worth Rs 240000 from the state government for being good in academics. And in JIS there is a program name "earn while learn". Anyone can enroll for his/her interest.
Campus Life
JISCE has a wide range of library book collections. Even in the pandemic, they were able to deliver books by college bus, this is impressive, kudos to them. In my academic career, I didn't have to pay a single rupee for books. I used to get one book per subject from the central book bank, apart from that I used to take extra books from the library. ECE department is the best in my college as our department has its own library besides the central library. In my college, we have several social activities clubs such as NCC, NSS, Trekking, Photography, Coding, and Project clubs.
