NSUT, B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering

Remarks

I like this college very much because here teachers are very friendly, they solved doubts of students any time .and I prefer this college because of placement and infrastructure, for admission I cleared jee main then I fill JAC Delhi form to get admission in NSUT. Then in the fourth round, I got mechanical and my jee rank is 32238. I can get electrical but my parents froze my seat so that's why I got mechanical but I happy to get it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like my professors very much because they helped to solve my doubts and the qualifications of all professors are PhD .and I rate 10/10 for their teaching method and here exams are taken in regular manners in every 2 weeks there is a test and paper were moderate.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 190000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yes, my college offer internship but I have not knowledge about that they offer off campus placement or not. And I will also go for an internship in my 2 and 3 years. In my orientation, my senior told me that they got internship from big companies so I am happy to listen to that.

Placement Experience

4.5

As I m in 1 year so I have not much information about placement but after talking with senior I can able to answer this, the placement is 100%. The highest packages are more than 1 crore for software engineer. The minimum cgpa for placement is 6.total of 170+ companies come for hiring. and my goal is to get better placement from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is as follows:- 1 year- 190000, 2 year- 201000, 3 year- 213000, 4 year-229000, And for the scholarship, if student secured rank less than 2000 then they got the scholarship and also for sc, st and OBC and for those students whose family income ar less than 100000.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is awesome. The annual fest of NSUT is moksha which is best in my opinion .and the library is too big which contain more than 10000+ books. And nsut also has football, cricket, volleyball, basketball and kabaddi ground and the classrooms are very clean and hygenic.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

The main reason for joining this college was proximity from my home. Another option was DTU but it had a 2 hour journey from my home whearas NSUT had 1 hour journey. Both colleges are almost same and placements are also almost same. If someone is choosing between these colleges then distance should be a major factor. If someone is from outside Delhi then for coding culture you should join NSUT while for fun and fests, you should join DTU....Read More
