Remarks
The college is situated in the Utkal University campus so there's no distraction from traffic while studying. The teaching staff are usually good & will help the students in most scenarios. The office staff is can be a bit slow in the department management process but it's not much big of a deal. There are only 60 students per batch/year so it's not very cluttered. The classes are well equipped with projectors and screens for better experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course might change every year by a slight bit, but that depends on the IT Industry & the demand. But it'll always include topics related to CS. I chose this course because I always wanted to learn computer from a young age & this course is more focused on computer languages & programming in contrast to typical Engineering courses. There are 2 sems per year & each sem has 1 internal exam. The exams are comparatively less in number compared to other colleges. The semester is held in line with others colleges as it is in the academic calendar. Exams are moderately difficult, for students who would've studied CS earlier or those who could grasp the programming concept quick, but for those from other backgrounds, it might get difficult unless you understand how to do programming.
Placement Experience
There are no campus placements, but instead, there's a Placement Cell, where students can provide their applications & they'll be recommended to the different companies by the University. After the completion of BCA i.e. 6th sem, the students are eligible for applying in the Placement Cell.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are currently 40,000 per year. There are scholarship are available but not by the college, but instead from the government. So if any student qualifies for a scholarship & if they wish to avail themselves, they have to complete the scholarship form on the scholarship's website & submit the form to the department.
Campus Life
There are all kinds of the fest that are conducted. They are mostly held in the last quarter of the year. The department has its own library & if you can't find a book there, there's a huge library that's for the whole University,
Admission
There's first a qualification check, then an entrance exam by the University is held among those who qualify the criteria.
Interview Experience
There was an entrance test. The students who qualified for it were chosen based on their +2 marks or any recent exam they had taken. The entrance exam basically consisted of +2 maths. It wasn't much difficult if you study a bit.
