Remarks
BHU, Varanasi is among the most renowned universities of the state and this is the reason why I decided to pursue MBA here. The Institute was ranked 3rd overall and 36th for MBA in NIRF Rankings. The university has been approved by both AIU & UGC and has also been accredited by NAAC. Admissions to the MBA program in BHU are provided on the basis score in CAT/BHU PET exam, followed by PI/GD.
Course Curriculum Overview
My desire to be a management field expert was the reason why I opted for MBA at Banaras Hindu University. The Institute has experts of all different fields of management studies in its faculty team. The teaching methods are very effective for the learning experience of students at BHU. The duration of the program is 2 years and consists of 6 terms , the exams are conducted by the university on trisemester basis.
Internships Opportunities
I also opted for the internship round conducted by the university for the MBA program. Good number of companies from different domains participated in the round and I was able to grab a decent offer from Infosys. It was a great learning experience for me as I got to learn a great amount of things about industrial working.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for the campus placements after the end of 3rd semester . The highest package offered to our 2018-20 batch was INR 16 LPA while the average package stood around INR 7 LPA. Some of the prominent names present during the drive were Infosys, IBM, ICICI and Wipro
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure of BHU, Varanasi is more affordable than most of the management institutions across the country. The total program fee for MBA at BHU is INR 1 Lac only. The university provided its meritorious students with different kinds of financial aid under some specific criterias. The institute also helped the needy students to avail study loan facility.
Campus Life
BHU provides a premium campus life experience to its students. It includes the arrangement of different types of academic as well as extracurricular activities. The library of our university has quality content across different streams for knowledge enhancement of the students. NSS & NCC clubs were also there for the overall development of students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel life was my favourite part about my time at BHU. The institute provided quality hostel facilities to the students at the most affordable prices. The rooms were well built and had all basic necessities for the students. The hostel mess served decent taste of food and the variety of options available was great. Various sports facilities were also there for the interested students
Admission
Applied candidates were firstly shortlisted on the basis of CAT or BHU PET exam score followed by PI/GD rounds. In these rounds the panel examined different aspects through different ways. The final selection is done as per overall performance of the student in all these rounds.
