I love Sharda University

I wanted to study Sharda because I had heard a lot of good things about this university. It has a good placement rate i.e 90% and also a very big campus with a lot of engaging events being held which makes the college life experience a good one. For the admission I had to sit for the entrance test of the university i.e SUAT. I paid rs 1200 for the test. My class 10+2 marksheets also had to be above 50%. I applied from the official site and I also had to go through group discussion and a personal interview.

My course offered specialization in many BBA programs like finance and logistics, marketing, management and HR as well. I took up BBA because it offers a lot of scope in many different sectors be it finance or in an organization. There were 6 faculty members who conducted the class. A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory in order to sit for the exams. We have semester based exams. One year consists of two semesters and has internal and university exams. When it comes to teaching methodology we were taught via class presentation, topic discussions, practical training and assignments and tests as well.

We become eligible for placements during our final semester. The criteria for it is, there should be no back papers, well maintained attendance and a good GDPA. Our college has a very strong placement cell and aims for 100% placement rate. The most frequent visiting companies are HDFC, Wipro, TATA, NTT data, indian oil and RCT. The minimum package offered is 3 lakhs and the highest is upto 30 lakhs p.a. The package is based on interview, company and the course chosen.

The fees for 1st year was Rs.1,59,000 since I had specialized in marketing, and then for 2nd and 3rd year it was Rs.1,63,770 and Rs.1,68,680. The fees had to be either paid through account transfer, student login or via cheque or demand draft. The university does provides scholarships on the basis of merit, students whose class 12 marksheets are above 95% gets a full scholarship, and whose percentage was above 75% got a scholarship of 10 %. Since I had scored 88%, I got a waive off of 40%. Scholarships are alos received on the basis of sports, or students having a defense background or on the basis of low income as well.

Every year the college hosts one of the biggest annual fest of northern India known as Chorus. In this fest we have celebrities coming and performing, live bands, competitive events in the field of art, dance and fashion, followed by socials. The campus gets very lively. We also have in campus residence facilities, cafeterias, library, labs and auditorium followed by seminar rooms as well. The total size of the campus is 63 acres.
