Remarks

This college is very cheap to study for a programme like MBA and i am a local resident of tezpur which is why i chose to study here. The admission is based of CAT score, merit and followed by a personal interview. Application forms are available at the college campus as well as online mode and it costs one thousand rupees for it. I also chose to study further mainly because of a better prospect and after being enrolled for my classes, I got a more detailed learning of my subject and gained more knowledge from it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I wanted to study further so after BBA comes MBA. I also wished to work for good companies in the post of HR management. There were about 250 faculty members during my time, it might have increased now. Most of the faculty teachers were PHD holders while some were assistant professors as well.

Placement Experience

3

The placement rate is about 50% with no internships available. In my department there was no visiting companies. However after completing I moved into kolkata and started working as an HR for Fusion BPO services. The starting salary i was offered during that time was 22500 rs monthly. It was good enough to start with. l also started freelancing for resturants and brands as a digital marketing person. This added a plus point to my resume. I then moved to Mumbai after working for three years in Fusion, where I got a better prospect. I currently am back at my hometown in Tezpur and I work as a health services Manager in Baptist christian hospital freelancing alongside as a digital marketing person for various local shops and resturants in Tezpur.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a government funded institution the fees were very affordable. There was no financial burden as if i had studied in a private institution, the fees would not be less than 10 lakhs. I paid 1.5 lakhs in total for a course of two years.

Campus Life

4

The campus comprises of a large playground for sporting events to take place. We also have access to wifi throughout the campus. The university also has a hostel for girls as well as boys and the quality of food is very good as well. We have student organizations as well like eco club, anti ragging club and a student union club as well. We also celebrate various college events like convocation day, fresher's party, interdepertmental copmetitions, teacher;s day. The most celebrated festival is christmas, and also the university recentley celebrated its silver jublee celebration.

Admission:

Once I applied to TU with my MAT score I was asked to come to the university for the GD and PI round. My GD round went for 15 minutes and we were given the topic about GST. In my PI round questions were asked about all my background activities besides academics, my reasons for choosing this course etc. Various mock interviews online helped me a lot while preparing for this round.

Remarks:

The MBA admissions are merit based. The basic eligibility was graduation with 50% marks and a CAT score. TU also conducted an interview and a counselling session once I was shortlisted. TU is a central university under the government, so they offer quality education for very less fees. This was the major reason for joining TU.
