MDU, B.Tech, Civil Engineering

Remarks

Firstly I want to tell you that I had taken admission to Btech LEET from MDU ROHTAK On the day of admission, I thought I would prepare for LEET entrance to get admission in this college but later on, I found that the admission process has been changed due to pandemic named coronavirus. Now you have to take admission through your LEET RANK which is based on your DIPLOMA percentage. I have applied for this college from HARYANA LEET but due to less percentage I didn't get this college then I decided to go for open counseling In 1st open counseling, I didn't get to this college because so many students were applied for the same college. I decided to go for 2nd and last counseling, it was my last hope and finally, I got it

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen Civil engineering because it has a large scope of government jobs, you can also get a private job. Civil engineering is the only engineering course that is present everywhere because everything is based on construction. All the faculty of this college were so nice and faculty to student ratio is also good, there is 1 teacher for every 10 students All the faculty members are highly educated and most of them are Ph.D. holders and some of them are postgraduate in engineering. Their teaching method is normal means not so good not so bad If we talk about term exams then nothing has happened timely due to this pandemic but overall teachers giving their best to complete the semester and to do exams timely. It was easy for me to pass the exam because of this coronavirus because the university gave us a chance to do 5 ques out of 9 which was quite easy for me.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 72000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of this course is quite high. University will charge 70k to 75k for 1 year. As it's a govt university so it should be minimized I have applied for SC BC SCHOLARSHIP but hasn't been credited to my account yet. Since it's already been a year so I don't think it will credit to my account

Campus Life

Campus life was so good in the first 5 months, I was enjoying everything like pools, gym, parks, etc. I used to go to the library daily and read some books. A big cricket stadium is also there in our university in which I used to watch cricket tournaments. I spent most of my time there Many other things which attract student to spend their life in this university. If you will start at 5 Am even then you can't watch while university

Hostel Facilities

All the rooms of the hostel are near and clean. One of my fav facility of this university is the clean hostels You have to give 30k per year per person but believe me, 30k is fair for this hostel. The quality of the meal was also good but I prefer outside meals because we can't eat dal roti daily. I hope you understand You can register for hostel via form 4 which will update by the university when the seat is available and how many seats are available

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
