Remarks

My college is ASET, Delhi which is affiliated with GGSIPU, Dwarka. So in 2016 IP university used to conduct thrur own entrance test in which they provide you ranks as per your scores. I only targeted IPU and not anywhere else because somewhere I got the hope in me that it will be sufficient. My admission was done through spot counselling which is usually organised by IPU in the very last remaining days of closing the process. I got two options and went for ASET Delhi in which I pursued my Engineering in Instrumentation and Control Engineering. I was with no quota, and being in general category sometimes make things difficult however it went quiet good. I also met all the specified criteria for the admission as the opted college required average 60% in top 5 subjects in class 12. There was big hall, students sitting there waiting for their roll number to show up on that big screen so that they can go to the panel and het done with the admissions. It was long process but totally worth it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

So my stream was Instrumentation and Control which was kind of unique among the others. ICE can be considered as a mixture of circuit branches. ICE was very alien to me but get to hear things like the scope is big for ICE, so much to learn in ICE and yes there was very much to learn and implement. The faculty was very helpful to us, there was always availability of faculties. Ratio wise I say 3 faculties for every 45 students so this was not a big deal. The exam was always on scheduled time everything was planned perfectly. I would say the difficulty of the exam are somewhere around medium if you study enough is going to get great marks.

Internships Opportunities

3

So this is the place where you can't rely upon college because an internship is totally on your own. However, college won't be playing any role in the Internship but it will be approving all the various types of Internship done by the students which would be mainly technical or branch-related.

Placement Experience

4.5

In 6 sem you will be able to get placement. 15-16 students of my class got placed in their 6 semesters. By the 8 semesters, the majority of candidates will come out having a job in their hands. The highest packet paid by company Microsoft was 15 LPA. Around 80% of students got placed rest 20% opt for further studies. Currently, I am doing a job in an Automotive Company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were not very much however it is not that low as compared to the government colleges but it was very affordable as if you do good throughout those years you will be definitely getting a job. Placement is a thing which you would be sure of at the end of your academics. There were 250+ companies that have a tie-up with the university for instance Microsoft, Accenture, Byjus and more. The average package provided by the college is between 4-5 LPA.

Campus Life

5

Life in Amity is very enjoyable. There is a happening every time for every segment of students throughout the year whether you are a singer, athlete, actor or a tech geek. You won't feel the necessity of such things where you think that I can show my talents because there it is already. There was an Annual sports meet, tech fest, annual fest, NSS and so many other kinds of activites. Library in Amity was a different world it was lavish, a pure exquisite destiny for the students. In the classroom, all the basic amenities were present like projectors and all the basic things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
