It comes to the best private colleges in India, VIT tops the list. VIT is the number 1 private college in India and provides enormous opportunities to students and teachers to show their excellence in the field of academics and many other activities. The eligibility criteria for admission in VIT is that you must have a Science stream in your 12th and have to secure at least 75% in your board exams along with that, you have to qualify for the VITEE entrance exam or with a rank of less than 10000 in your IITJEE entrance exam. If you chose to take admission through the VITEE entrance. The registration form is released by the college on its official website. Students have to fill the form and pay their registration fees. Soon, after the declaration of CBSE 12th boards results the college declares the date of the VITEE exam. Students have to qualify for the exam and sit in the VITEE counselling and chose your stream. If you want to take admission through JEE rank you can directly sit in counselling.

Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the streams where you learn almost all the concepts of science. You learn about electronics, a few electrical and computer science (data structure, foc and more) based concepts. The best part is the communication. I dont think any other stream gives you this diversified yet trivial knowledge of all the fields. That's the reason I chose ECE. It is mandatory to maintain a good student to faculty ratio and it varies between college to college. Our college has a student to faculty ratio of nearly 1:29. Our college has faculties and professors from all around the world. Most of them hold a Post Doctorate Degree rest of them are involved in research works. Some of them are renowned for publishing research articles and outstanding contribution to the research field.

As we all know our college is a hub of excellence. Students specialise in various skills and almost everyone doesn't hesitate to grab an internship in Microsoft or Google. They get a stipend of between 20 - 30k depending on the company and the type or time period of the internship.

The 3rd and final year students are basically eligible for campus placements. Our companies have been quite a big attraction of the top companies in India and abroad. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys and several big IT and Software companies visit our college frequently. The highest package offered is by Google i.e, 31 lakhs per annum and the lowest package offered is by INFOSYS i.e, nearly 6 lakhs per annum. Overall, you can see each and every student recruited get a salary of more than 5 lakhs every year. Nearly 95% of students get a job in most of the popular companies.

There is a variation of fees in our college as the fees are divided into various categories and totally depends on your Vitee rank. If you have secured a rank of less than 1k in your Vitee exam you get a scholarship of 50% and have a rank of less than 5k you will get a scholarship of 20% and if your rank is more than 5k you won't get any scholarships. Our college has a partnership with Yes Bank which provides loans to the students to pay their college expenses with almost no interests and students can also do part-time jobs in and out of the college campus to pay their college fees.

The college has a huge library building which plays a very important role by providing thousands of books to both the students and faculty members. The library also has a study lounge where students can study in their free without any disruption. Our college has totally air-conditioned class tooms and lecture halls with proper lightings and smart boards. The college also promotes extracurricular activities and held various competitions and provides certificates and prizes to the winners.

VIT provides one of the best hostel facilities as compared to other colleges. There are separate hostel complexes for boys and girls and provides seperate accommodation facilities to international students. And you can choose which type of room you want like AC, Non Ac or Dormitory rooms. The rooms are spacious and have attached toilets and Verandas facing the small lake in the campus where you can be amazed to have such a nice view. The meal provided by the hostel is very good. They maintain proper hygiene and provides healthy foods to the students at a very low price. You can choose to have both veg and non-veg options in your meal and the food quality is top-notch. The hostel fees are not much expensive and the fees depend on which type of room you chose to live in. I have to pay only 25k per year including the meal, accommodation and security charges.
