Remarks

I have applied for Maharshi Dayanand University because it is very popular in our area. I belong to the general category so I didn't apply for quota but yes I availed state quota. You must have good JEE Main marks for taking admission in 1st-year BTech but there are no min age criteria. The admission process was so easy, I didn't get admission in 1st counselling, it will take 3 counselling to take admission for me.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our course Civil Engineering always gives less placement but plus point is that it gives max govt job opportunity so I have selected this course. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10 which is quite enough for me and all the teachers and staff are enough qualified most of them are PhD. They always help student in their studies. Term exam didn't happen timely and you know what coronavirus is the main reason behind it and it was a little difficult for me to passed.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 74000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college fees are 74000 per year and in my point of view it's very high fees for a student even it's a govt university. That's why I want that it should be minimum but as compared to other govt BTech college is nearly equal. I have applied for Haryana Chhattrawarti Scholarship 6 months ago but the money didn't credit in my account even another semester is going to end. So now I don't think it will credit. Also, the university didn't give us any stipend.

Campus Life

4.5

Our university organised a rang bahar event which is a flower festival. It was organised in March 2021 and almost every semester our university is organising an event. The library of our college is so big and all the books are available there. Only PhD student read book inside the library rest of the student can read a book in front of the library means in the park. Our university has many sports facilities like Cricket playground and Basketball playground NSS Swimming pool etc. Most of the social group are run by university student and there are many clubs and website which is also run by university students and I loved it.

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
