As I already Wrote much about BATU, I must say join it and explore yourself. Better late than never.
I took a CET Exam and scored 137/200. I always wanted to be a computer engineer and BATU truly gave me an opportunity to fulfill my wish. I did opt out for this college and particularly Computer science branch because faculty here is really good and experienced. Also the campus placements are really well!
Course structure is really very good and helpful in the career growth. Especially, Practicals being conducted for computer science folks are of high quality. In first year, We used to execute C,C++ programs Using LINUX and they taught us various linux commands. Also, subjects like JAVA, NPL,Operating systems, DBMS which is the basic of any IT career, were taught in detail and using real time scenarios. Syllabus mostly focuses on the innovation and research. Particularly Projects and seminars.
Yes. BATU provides internship for M.Tech students. Most of the multinational companies like Cognizant, Persistent, Infosys, TCS were there and the stipend was around 15-20K.
Placements and job opportunities are really good. and Now, as I Know, BATU is going to be a central university of Maharashtra, It will grab attention of Many renowned companies. I got selected in cognizant via Campus Placement and they offered me a package of 4 Lakhs which is quite decent as a fresher.
Huge number of events celebrated in BATU. Technical : Various Coding competitions, Paper presentations on research topics, Robot competitions. Cultural : Annual Gathering which include singing, dance competitions(solo/Group), Musical Skit(which throws a light on the current affairs), Debate Completions, All Sports matches like Volleyball, cricket, Running, Jumping, Table tennis, badminton, chess, carom and many more.
Fee structure especially is affordable for even the poor and middle class student. So I must say to the students who can not afford more fees in the metro city colleges, BATU being a semi-Government college, Offers you the equivalent or more than that opportunities in affordable fees.
I have not availed any scholarship or loan but as far as I know students can take educational loan and complete their education.
Campus life I must say is very diverse and allow you to explore yourself. There is no specific gender ratio though. But As students from various regions come together to study under one roof, their bond becomes strong. Batu life has taught me how to survive and not to be homesick, How your friendship can make you a better person and how you can independently achieve your goals.
Hostel is vary spacious, Clean and well Managed. Hostel mess provided Breakfast along with milk or tea ( as per your choice), Lunch and Dinner. And fees of mess are very less. My time it was only 700/- per month. Every Wednesday they give you some sweet items like gulab jamun, rasgulla etc and Friday they additionally provide non-veg. Rooms are very spacious and safe too. For Every wing, Wash basis, Four bathrooms and toilets, Washing machine and geyser they provide.
Yes. We manage alumni meet every 3 years. Its a good exp in terms of various opportunities probably we aren't aware about most of the times and it helps junior students to work in that direction.
Exam structure was exceptionally well. As BATU is an autonomous university, We have 2 semesters and 2 unit tests per semester. Unit tests always helpful for the preparation of final semesters and keeps you organized with your study plan and help you to improve the topics where you are lagging. By this way a student can always improve himself in the final exam. Moreover, Student can introspect better to get ready for the final exam. As I mentioned earlier, Practicals were chilled out and definitely not hectic. They always more focused on real time scenarios.
I got admission based on the CET score i have filled a CAP form online and gave list of 20 colleges of my choice. BATU was the 3rd name in my list. And In first round I got BATU for the branch I wanted i.e Computer Science. So Without ever thinking of 2nd round, I chose BATU as the right college for me and my career.
Faculty I must say, is highly qualified they help students in the seminars and projects. They guide and advice their students to be innovative and focus more on research. With such an excellent guidance, Students get more interest in the seminars, projects as well as extra curricular activities be it technical Like ( Coding exams, Robot competitions) as well as Non-technical ( Annual gathering, Sports events).
Placement initiated since the start of the seventh semester. Ample companies visit the campus including the likes of - Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, among others. The average salary of ~6-7 LPA CTC Highest salary 15 LPA CTC. Near to 100% placements for the Computer branch. I am working at a tech job after finishing my degree from here
The placement record of this college is very best. From 7th semester and From July month aptitude test of companies will be started. And a student with no backlog is eligible for placement. Coep is Oldest engineering college. Autonomous and deemed University. After Guindy COE and IIT Roorkee this is old University. Coep is past name is University of Bombay. The hall, auditorium, classroom is nice.
The college having 90% placements means many students from 70 students in a class 50 to 60 students get select from a class. IBM, Amazon, Reliance, GSK, Tata, Commvault.
The college is great in terms of academics and extra curricular activities but too strict. We have to follow rules right from when we enter till we leave college. Management is fine. Have to continuously keep looking for opportunities to grab it.
The most negative thing about our college is it is bounded by the SPPU norms and thus it cannot do what is beneficial to students knowing that would help them. The most positive thing about our college is it is very strict and disciplined and it creates a positive environment among the students and help them build a great career.
Satisfied with faculty, placements are good, infrastructure is not up to mark but facilities are good.
This college is actually good as it has made each student well-disciplined. Yes at starting it was really very difficult as morning pt at 5:30 is a very hard thing but slowly but gets into the timetable.
The college management is very nice and helpful. If they will provide internships for students then it will be very beneficial for students' overall growth.
Management is the worst part about this place. One guy named Mr. Khatre is the real problem of the place and should be laid off.
Overall our college is good and provides disciplined life but at the same time it is little bit hectic due to all physical training and parades held by them, but at the same time these activities help us to get stronger in life.
