Remarks
1) Admission process is simple, I was instructed to go to the admission cell, my documents like marksheet of 10,12 and reap form were checked there. 2) Then I was told to pay the fees on the immediate date, it was a hectic process as their facility of paying fees is bad. 3)Then on the next day, our original mark sheets of 10th and 12th were taken and we were sitting in the room according to our branches.
Course Curriculum Overview
1) I chose the electrical branch as it was the only accredited branch at that time. But to be honest I have not seen any difference in classes or even in labs. 2) Faculty-student ratio is not so good as we are 90 students in class and the common subjects are taught together, which creates a mess. Though labs are conducted in a batch-wise manner. 3) Teachers are highly qualified, there is no doubt in it, but the classes are not conducted well in my branch, as we have the image of college that no teaching is there, it somewhat fits too, to be honest. 4) University department, RTU's academic calendar is different from the other affiliated colleges of Raj. So all the exams including term and semester exams held late. The difficulty of the exam is of medium type and it's not so hard to pass the subject. It's kind of easy though.
Internships Opportunities
College provides internship opportunities, as now we are in this covid situation, so site visit program is not possible so college provides free courses in Coursera and other sites which helps in improving a specific area of your field.
Placement Experience
Placement cell is there in college, placement ratio is low like in ratio of 20 over 100. I don't know much about placements as I'm in 2nd year now and my aim is government job. Around 3-7 lacs per annum is average placement in branches,in CS it goes upto 10 lacper annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
1) Fees, of course, is 70k per annum, and if you get placed in the TFWS category in respected branch then your fees will be 32k per annum. Fees hiking problem is not there,it will remain constant through out your course. 2) TFWS(tuition fee waiver scheme) scholarship is given to top ranking students according to jee rank in respective branches. I am in TFWS category and there are total of 5 seats in electrical of tfws.
Campus Life
1) Our annual fest THAR is one of the biggest fests in India. Many other colleges take part here. But it's not conducted on a regular interval, as I attended the fest in the first year of college which was conducted after 3 years. 2) college library is very good, course-related books are there and standard books are available too. Computer-aided courses are also available in the library. 3) Classrooms are of old-style which is blackboard type, furniture is good. 4) Sports facility is very good football and cricket ground is there, badminton and table tennis court is there too and now lawn tennis court is in making too. So overall sports amenities are good. 5) There are many clubs in college that conduct many events on a regular basis.
