Remarks
- I applied for AMU mba and Jamia mba. Got selected in AMU. AMU was my 1st preference - I availed internal quota - Minimum marks required are 50% in graduation - First there was a written test of 100 marks, then candidates who cleared written test appeared for gd and personal interview. Admission councelling was done online
Course Curriculum Overview
- I chose mba as i want to go into corporate world - The faculty to student ratio is around 1:5 - Minimum qualification of faculty members is Phd along with net - Exams are held once in two months. Difficulty level was average
Internships Opportunities
-The students of MBA 1st year have not got internship opportunities yet as we have just completed our first semester. After completing the second semester we will be eligible for internships and will get opportunities
Placement Experience
- Since 4th semester for jobs and 2nd semester for internships - Amazon, Zomato, Accenture, Wipro, Whitehat jr. etc - I dont know much about the packages offered by the companies - Around 50% students gets placed - My plan is to get a job in operations
Fees and Financial Aid
- The fees is very much affordable. AMU is one the most affordable Universities to study in India. Fees does'nt get hike for years - There are a number of scolarships for the needy students who are financially weak. I personally have not applied for any.
Campus Life
- There are a number of fests including literary fest, eco fest, film fest and departmental fests throusghout the year - The Maulana Azad library is one of the biggest library in Asia and you can get issued whatever book you need from there - Classrooms was Ac, projector and mic system in some classes - There is almost every sport played in the campus. Anobody interested in taking part may join the sports club - All the clubs whether literary, eco, film club etc are run by the students themselves
Hostel Facilities
- You get a bed, a table, and wifi in you rooms - Meal provided is not that good. You get veg and non veg(2-3 days a week) - Registration for hostels is done at the time of admissions. Living in a hostel is almost free - Shamshad market
Interview Experience
- GD topics were related to the economy, politics, social, environmental etc. Interview was done to check our confidence, speaking english and subject knowledge of our prior courses - Admission process includes a written test and GD&PI (in case you clear the test) - I prepared throuh CAT preparatory books and stuff from youtube
