Banaras Hindu University is situated in my hometown and holds recognistion across UP, this is why I chose it for my MCA. The university has approval of UGC along with NAAC accredition. It was 10th in overall NIRF rankings in the country. The MCA program admissions at BHU are provided on the basis of BHU PET score of the applied candidates
Course Curriculum Overview
The MCA program cover's everything from the fundaments to the advanced level knowledge regarding computer applications and it was the best PG choice for me after my graduation in BCA. The faculty at BHU had expert's for all different programs of the university and the MCA faculty team also included the same kind of teachers.
Internships Opportunities
I was not there in the university during the internship round. Although, it was an overall success but I was not able to get the real time exposure of it. Those candidates who applied for the round were very satisfied with the kind of internships offered.
Placement Experience
The MCA program at BHU is among the most famous courses here and during BHU 2020 placements the program was in good demand. The most number of offers during the round were offered by firms like Infosys, Deloitte and Wipro and the highest quality offered package by the participating firms was INR 16 LPA. I was able to get INR 8 LPA package by ICICI and it was a great opportunity for me to avail.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The students opting for the MCA program at BHU had to pay a total fee of INR 3.6 lacs. The tuition fee and other academic charges were included in this fee while students availing hostel residence will have to pay additional charges for them.
Campus Life
The university facilitiated us with the best of campus experience. I lived some of the best moments there and the my most favourite parts of BHU were the Sports and cultural activities. The university also used to arrange technical events for us. The institute had a number of societies for our all-round performance growth and the most famous names of them were the Theatre Club, Fine Arts Club, students council and Academic Affairs committee.
Hostel Facilities
I was a local of Varanasi itself, and due to it I was not a hostlier during my MCA from Banaras Hindu University. The facilities there were good, but I was not able to experience them individually. The hostel fee at BHU was quite reasonable as the best of facilities were provided by BHU.
Admission
The university conducted BHU PET for admissions to the MCA program. The applicant's entrance score and academic diversity were the factor on whose basis the merit list was prepared. After it BHU organised the counselling round during which the MCA seats allocation was done.
