IBS Mumbai Review

Applied for iims didn't clear cat cutoff so went for IBS Mumbai. Ibs accept cat score and IBSAT score and on clearing the cutoff one can sit for gd and pi. The minimum age required is 20 years and there is no upper age limit. The admission process took place in IBS Hyderabad in which each student has to go through gd and pi round.

I choose marketing as my specialization as this is something no am always interested in. There are 4 semesters and the first two semesters are common for everyone, in the 3rd semester one has to choose their specialization based on their interest. The teacher to student ratio is 1:25 and all the teachers are highly qualified and some of them are industry experts. IBS use the practical approach of teaching like case study method etc. The exam is held frequently and is easy to clear.

The internship is provided to each student from our college and companies from various sectors comes and provide a role in pre sales, sales, digital marketing, business development etc. The sip is compulsory for each student and during sip, each student has to make a project and it is evaluated after sip.

The campus placement occurs in mid of the 3rd semester and students with a minimum of 5.5 CGPA are eligible for placement and 75% attendance is also required. The requirement of the company varies from one another. Companies like hul, it, jpmc, Lodha, Kotak,icici, etc come to campus and the average salary is 6.67 lakh and the highest is 50 lakh. Around 90% of students get placed via college and after getting a degree I would like to work in a real estate firm.

The fee of IBS is not much as compared to other b-school and the fee raises every two years. The total fee is Rs 810000 which is to be paid in five equal instalments. The scholarship is provided to students who get a CGPA above 8 in each semester and a stipend is provided to some students to work in a library.

The annual fest of IBS is conflux held in January every year in which different B-schools participate, it's is organized by different clubs of IBS.IBS has many clubs like tarksh for sports dfusion dance,m360, MARKOPHILIA for marketing, Kautilya for finance, synergy for HR l etc The Library is well equipped and has lots of books and journals. The classroom is huge and has AC, projector etc and IBS has a very good cafeteria.

GD occurs in a group of 10 students and the topics were related to current affairs, business news etc it is easy to clear and in PI they also ask basic questions like strength, weakness etc. I prepared for this in my coaching which I took for cat preparation.
