I have not applied for any other colleges No quota used for admission Eligibility criteria for joining the school of communication is graduate from a recognized university or degree college There was a telephonic interview due to the pandemic,after that, I got selected for my admission process

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Birla school of communication because it provides every kind of opportunity that will be helpful for my future. They train us not only in academics but focuses on the wholesome development of a student. Students and facilities are like family. Faculties support us in each and every activity that we used to do on our campus. Every professor are PhD holders There is 4 semester in our course.

Class Size: 18Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like genesis bcw , adfactor, news 18, Ketchum sampark are recruiting students both for internship and job opportunities. Roles such as pr intern, marketing intern , needwriter, copyeditor , news anchoring, and many more are the roles provided by companies to the students.

Placement Experience

After the end of the 3rd semester, the placement process will start and if students crack the placement then joining would be soon after the 4th semester I will go for my Ph.D. degree after the successful completion of my master's in Birla school of communication

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees structure for journalism and mass communication costs around 3 lakhs I got an internship opportunity through bgu ,i.e a media channel. I got a stipend of upto 5k per month. I also work for a PR company mainly in marketing and advertising.

Campus Life

Various kinds of books is available for the students including the course books. Student can issue their respective course book for each semester and can return back to the library in charge. The classroom is well equipped with Ac ,whiteboard and wifi facilities There are two clubs including Radio club and literature club organized by the students

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room is for 2 students in each room . There is ac, lockers for storage, provided with bed and mattress and attached bathroom. I think birla hostel food is the best among all. Nobody can question the quantity and quality of food.

College infrastructure and surrounding is great
Smart classes and free WiFi was provided in the campus.

Dislikes

Teachers are not that good . They don't know the concept well.
Classes are not held properly as per the schedule

there are smart class rooms and good faculty for my course and various extracurricular activities are available for students
you can compete many state and national level competitions such as essay writings, creative writings, debate, poster making, etc.
the management of the university is really commendable. various departments and cells have been established to help students in their academic life such as; placement cells, incubation and innovation centers for young entrepreneurs

Dislikes

students who are engaged in political activities often exercise their dominance over other students
sanitation could be better with the mutual efforts of both the students and the college management
though is a placement cell present, i haven't seen many numbers of students getting employed through the university placement cell

sociology as an academic discipline is really sought after in the recent times. it is considered as one of the most sought elective chosen by the upsc aspirants and the discipline in itself gives you a great chance at understanding your society and other societies about how they function amd operate, provides knowledge about various cultures, health, environment, city structure and so much more. you can pursue higher studies or go for NET exams right after post graduation. you can also work with ngos and other nonprofit organizations. each semester is ideally of 6 months and two exams are there. the difficulty level of exams would range from moderate to high

Overall the university is good to go

Likes

I like faculties friendliness. Guidance and support in every area.
I like overall our study pattern, our syllabus our projects our viva our seminars
I like the cultural programmes and events so much our jublee and many more where we learn and enjoy at the same time

Dislikes

I don't like our campus canteen. In our time they newly opened and there food is so cheap.
I don't like counters clerks behaviour. They stretching things so long and we have to wait for that that's awful
I don't tike the office staff behaviour they are very lazy. A small work get done in many days

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our curriculum and subject syllabus decided by our HOD and chairman. They make the syllabus in order to understanding upcoming era. The add subject like film studies that in whole Odisha in only 2 University. One is Bargarh University and another one is our university. There are semester exam in every 6 month in 3 years course. Questions are not that much tough. Faculties are supportive also.
