IBS MUMBAI Review

Applied for the ICFAI group only and given the IBSAT exam for the selection process.IBS takes admiision on the basis of CAT/IBSAT score ,GD and PI which is compulsory for everyone.The minium marks for qualifing IBSAT is 70 and for the cat is 60. The minimum age must be 20 years and there is no upper limit and students in their frinal year of graduation can also appear for admission process.

I have a background in economics and I always want to go in bussiness world so i applied for this course and also the pgpm course offered by the IBS is latest and according to what the industry needs.The student to faculty ratio is 15:1 and the faculties of IBS is very good and always use inovative methods to teach like case study method etc and most of the teachers have done their Phds and majority have an insdustry experience.The exam are conducted throughout semester and they are easy to pass.

Companies from real estate, fmcg,bfsi, etc sector come and provide the role of sale,pre-sales, marketing, etc give to students and most of the companies provide paid internship, SIP is compulsory for every student and a report has to submit at the end of the sip which is evaluated by the college.

The placement committee of the college is responsible for the placement of each student. The minimum GPA required to sit in the placement is 5.5 but also different companies have different requirements. From mid to 3rd semester, our placement starts, and the majority of the student got placed by December. Companies from various sectors visit our college some of them are JPMc, ITC, HDFC.JIO studio, Lodha group, etc. The average package given to students is 6 lakh and the highest package goes to 20 lakh.

The fees structure is divided in five equal installments of the sum of Rs 810000 and IBS also assist in taking loan facility from banks.Merit scholarship is also given to student if he scores above 8 cgpa in each semester and paid job is also provided to students in library

Books, business journals and newspaper is available in the library. The classroom room is well equipped with comfortable desks and chairs .projector is also there in the classroom. The annual fest of IBS is KONFLUX which is held in the month of January in which various events occurs and another college also participate in this the events, another fest like again is held for juniors and also we get a lot of oppurtunity to attend webinars in which industry leaders share their knowledge and experience. Lots of clubs are there in which one can be part of like private, markophilia,kautilya,tarkash , etc Sports activities are also organized by the sports club i.e. Tarkash and e-tarkash.

GD occurs between a group of 10 people in IBS Hyderabad which is monitored by a group of 2 people and topis were from business affairs, economic, abstract, and the topic is given to me was manager vs entrepreneur. GD is followed by a personal interview which is also taken by a panel of 2 members and they asked simple questions and I prepared for GD and PI with the help of certain websites and also prepared 50 questions that can be asked in PI.
