Entrance Preview

I did not take any particular entrance exam. I got in through the management quota. I opted this college after reviewing about it to a close family friend near the college. His views were quite eccentric about the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college follows an autonomous pattern in curriculum and exams. Which means that the college has the sole right in setting the curriculum. It is comparatively competitive with rest of the Tamil Nadu colleges. But still lacks international standards as like most of the Indian colleges.

Internships Opportunities

College allows internships only to tier 1 companies. And again only skilled students are allowed to undertake internships. General stipend is around 10k.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and job opportunities are quite good. Its far better when compared to many colleges nearby. College has a great placement team. They brings in many tier 1 companies on-campus. It also has a placement training program spread across 2 months time which can be really helpful.

College Events

4

There are all sorts of events conducted, ranging from department-level technical symposiums to national level symposiums. Though national level events are just a spoof with just local colleges participating. Cultural programmes are just a bunch of typical Tamil style events, with lots of 'cultural' sociopaths judging the participants on every aspect.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is very nominal. The highest fee is for management students with 85 k per year. For students who came in through counselling has a fee of around 40 k per year. There is also a full scholarship for the best 5 students in each department on behalf of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The College provides full scholarships to the top 5 pupils on academic standards in each department. Students who came in through sports quota has free accommodation.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facilities are very normal, nothing hi-fi. Mess food is not bearable for non-Tamilians. Hostel seats are ample for the students in need. There are 2 sharing and 4 sharing rooms available. Rentals vary from 55k to 60k. There are water purifiers installed in all the floors.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is pretty strong. College provides sessions with successful college alumni everytime. They usually give ample insights to companies and IT scenario.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is very liberal. all the semester exams follow the same pattern. There will be 12 number of 2 ,arks questions, 5 number of 15 marks and 1 number of 16 mark question. Except for 2 mark questions all others has individual optional question, which in my opinion is very helpful.

Admission

For the pupils coming in through the normal quota, there is a specific cut-off mark. the same will be announced before the commencement of admission process. The eligible candidates are then requested to take up the stream they wish to, corresponding to the respective cut-off mark.

Faculty

3.5

Faculties are quite good. Many of them have on hand industrial experience and are able to guide students properly. But as usual, there are some fairly big headed staffs on board. As the college has a fairly good staff retention policy, they tend to stay longer and fruitfully.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
