Entrance Preview

I didn't take any exams to attend this college. The reason why i chose this college was because of the locality.

Course Curriculum Overview

When i joined VCET it was already on the way of expanding their course curriculum by going autonomous. They followed Anna university's curriculum till i was studying there. By the time when it was time for me to graduate VCET got its autonomous status.

Internships Opportunities

I am not sure about that since i had no knowledge about it. Since it became autonomous now after i passed out i have no way of telling about the internship they provide there now.

Placement Experience

The placements and job opportunities in VCET is well designed and the college has ties with many companies like WIPRO, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, TECH MAHINDRA, etc. I would say the students will have a great opportunity in getting placed in placement because these companies come looking for people every year.

College Events

Some of the events celebrated in our college was sports days, annual day, graduation day, freshers welcoming day, etc. The students and staffs work together with enthusiasm to make these events as lively as possible. All of them are well planned and executed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availed a government scholarship when i was studying there. There is a private bank nearest to the college campus which makes the process of paying fees and bills easy especially when if its regarding the education loan. Its possible to avail scholarship and loan facility easily.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs were planned and laid out with adequate intervals in between them. As for the students without arrears there was no trouble at all. But for the students with arrears there were multiple exams on the same day and they also continued on the consecutive days too.

Faculty

Some faculty members quit their jobs abroad & in MNC's to teach here. The faculty in VCET are friendly, dedicated and disciplinary people. They take utmost care in teaching and the mentoring the students. As for the interest of teaching of faculty it depends on the students i would say.

Calm and Student-Friendly at DMI College of Engineering

Likes

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
