Entrance Preview

I took CET and scored 148 out of 200. I wanted this college as this is the only in the vicinity. I landed up in production and then shifted to electrical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is good but the fact that there was a factor of minimum subjects and i had to study subjects in which i had no interest made my score not so well. But the overall curriculum is good and focuses mainly on knowledge. It allows you to choose the best subject for you and some other subjects too in which i had no interest.

Internships Opportunities

Fortunately, my college does provide internship and i was lucky enough to get an internship in SIEMENS. There were many companies which came with the internship offer and the students most probably get internship after the 6th semester is done. The duration of my internship was 3 months but not together. I was paid 35k per month for 3 months. This was a nice internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities are good but not the best compared to IIT Mumbai. My friends were also placed in good companies but in am not satisfied by the companies visiting and feel that there should be more companies visiting here as VJTI is a good college overall.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college it is very feasible and considering the reservations and all it is very much feasible for the students and any fee problem wont be found atleast in this college. The fee structure includes the necessary fees while the hostel fees and canteen fees are to be paid seperately. The fees varies from 50000 to 70000 annually for general students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many banks have loans facilities with VJTI. SBI and BOM are some the major ones.I didn't have any loan. But SBI is there in campus itself. Very helpful staff. Many scholarships are there. Castewise, minority scholarships.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network and seniors are helpful. The seniors are quite good and helps the juniors if they ask for. The alumni network is good. I dont have a experience with them.

Exam Structure

The exams were chilled and relaxed but recurring. There are totally 8 semesters to be given and the 7th one is just going on. The timings are good and lets us study for the last minute study is necessary. The vivas overall are good. Overall there is no problem with the exam structure here.

Admission

I scored 148 out of 200 in CET and landed up here. I filled up the online form and my very first college was VJTI. So i got this college after about 20 days of the announcement of the result i got this college. My friends who were already studying there gave me positive reviews and thats what made me take this university. The administration was much better than other college.

Faculty

4

Honestly speaking, i had no expectations from the teaching faculty here as the previous junior college made me feel like that. But soon i realized this is not the case and the faculty is much better than the junior college i went to. Overall the faculty is good. I do not have a habit of sitting in all the lectures but the lectures i sat in were good.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
