Life in Delhi Technological University

I have applied for the colleges like Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Amity University, Symbiosis Noida, Delhi University, Ambedkar University, etc. But I chose Delhi Technological University above all of them due to various reasons like college reputation, placement record, etc. In DTU there is a separate 85% quota for Delhi students which is not available in DU. Admission Criteria of DTU is simple first you have to fill an application form for which eligible criteria in min 50% in class 12 board exam. After that like DU, they also release class 12 merit base cut-off.

I chose BA Economics Hons because I love Economics and Mathematics during my school days. The curriculum of Eco Hons in DTU is exact the same as DU. In the first year, you have 4 subjects in each sem with a total of 20 credits each. In the 2nd Year, you will have 5 subjects in each sem with a total of 24 credits each. Faculty in DTU are very qualified professionals who have a very innovative/modern method teach. In each sem there in one mid-term exam of 25 marks and one end-term exam of 75 marks. It is to pass those exams if you are thoroughly going all the topics side by side to class.

As I mentioned previously DTU conducts an annual internship fair for summer internships in which many start-ups across the country come and hire dozens of interns from DTU. The average stipend providede is around 5 thousand rupees.

From the final year students became eligible for the placements. Notable companies like Genpact, Deloitte, Byjus, Vedantu, TCS, Just Dial, Amazon, etc. visited our college this year and all of them have around 3-4 students each. Around 60% of students get campus placement this year.

As I was a 2018 enrolled student, I had experienced a constant fee hike every year. In my first year, my fees were Rs73000 which increases to 82k and 90k in the 2nd & 3rd year respectively. So I spend 243k total on my graduation. Yes, there are some scholarship policies to those students who are going through tough financial problems which depends upon their academic performances. Every year in DTU there is an annual internship fair in which companies across the country comes to hire summer interns with a stipend of around 5-10 thousand.

In the month of Feb north India's largest fest Engifest has been organized every year in which many YouTubers and notable personalities from entertainment come. It also includes 3 night live concert of some of the biggest names in the music world in the country. Life on the campus is the thing you will enjoy the most in DTU. There are a lot of clubs and societies in DTU which can engage you the whole day. DTU main campus has one of the biggest libraries in Delhi which is of 3 floors and has all the books available. DTU also has one of the best sports complexes in Delhi which annually hosts sports fests.
