Remarks
The admission to MBA program in my college is offered based on KMAT/MAT/CMAT exam. Therefore, I provided the KMAT score along with past academic details while filling the form and application fee of Rs. 1000.Based on my score, I was called to appear for selection procedure round wherein I faced an interview and lastly, I got an admission offer letter after which I paid program fee and secured my seat. Most importantly, the things due to which I took admission here are its ranking, advanced course curriculum, highly qualified facilities, placement record and others as well.However, before taking admission, I visited the official website, I checked everything there and according to that, my college ranked 88 for MBA by Times and 91 by Business Today. Further, it has got recognised by UGC and approved by AICTE. Also, it has got accreditated by NAAC with Grade 'A' and above all, it is affiliated to Bangalore University.Moreover, the course fee is 7 lakhs for both the year and since my college is a private college, the course fee is not too high as compared to other private institutions. So, all because of these few reasons, I took admission to this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The MBA program is of 2 years spanning over 6 trimesters.The MBA program in my college is approved by AICTE.The course curriculum is designed to impart quality education of management with the help of global corporate experience. The syllabus of MBA program comprises of both core and elective courses as per the demands of the business world. Through this course curriculum, we are not only impart the theoretical knowledge but also we are bestowed with hands-on experience.Moreover, the faculty members of our department are too supportive and they co-operate us when we are to complete any assignment, projects, and many more. Also, they teach us with the help of case studies to provide us the in-depth information of the topic. Furthermore, they make us learn to evaluate the business problems and solutions to fix them as well. In addition to this, extra sessions are organized to strengthen our decision-making ability, entrepreneurial and managerial skills, personality growth, and leadership skills to lead a multicultural corporate team.
Placement Experience
Post completion of the 3rd trimester, we get eligible to participate in placement drive. Prior to appearing in the placement session, we are given the aptitude training, personality development classes, and technical training sessions in which we learn to face the group discussion, mock interviews which is further conducted by the industry experts in the college campus. Moreover, the selection procedure begins with the pre-placement talk wherein the companies visiting our campus give insight into the job profile, company details,CTC to be offered, followed by the GD and PI rounds. Now, the top recruiters that visit our campus to offer jobs are Accenture, KPMG, EY, Wipro, Deloitte, LTI, Syncron, and many others. Also, last year, the highest package stood at 7 LPA. On the other hand, the average package witnessed was 3 LPA from our department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fee for MBA program is 7 lakhs and that for 1 year, it is 3.5 lakhs. However, I don't hail from Karnataka, so, I paid additional fee of Rs. 10000 and eligibility fee of Rs. 7000 as well. Further, there are two types of scholarship provision. The first one is government scholarship and the second is Kristu Jayanti College scholarships to SC/ST/EWS, minorities (Muslims/Buddhists/Jains/Parsis/Christians/Sikhs), other backward classes, physically disabled category and ward of defense personnel. Also, single girl child gets Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for PG programs. Moreover, one can apply for educational loan provided by various partner banks.
Campus Life
The campus life is happening here as so many events take place throughout the year and that involves annual fest sports day, etena, kalajyothi, xactitude, synchronise. Apart from these happenings, other events like fresher's day, convocation day, alumni meet, seminars, conference and celebration of different festivals are done in our college campus. In addition to this, the Infrastructure of our college is too good as it has well-organised classrooms, well-stocked library, WiFi connectivity, playground for sports facilities, food court, and others.Therefore, due to so many facilities provided here, the best faculties I have got here, and most importantly, so many events organised that help in getting exposure made my campus life lively.
