Remarks

Alumni Network and Rich peer learning. VIT's average is also upto industry standards. Admission process was smooth and my parents booked my seat as I had another exam at that time. As compared to all the private engineering colleges in India, VIT comes second to BITS only. Quora feedbacks are available for VIT which will help you with more insights.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is up to date and technologies like Blockchain, AI, ML are taught in details. Faculty : Student ratio is 1:20 which is quite nice. Exams are of moderate level and follow semester pattern. Faculties are PHDs with strong knowledge of their subjects. Proctor system is followed where you're alotted a proctor (who's a faculty) and will help you with any need.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 7200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

No, Internship opportunites are available and around 40-50 companies come for the same. Online test is taken for the same and upon clearing the test, students are brought in for interview rounds. After the students are selected, some of them receiver PPOs as well.

Placement Experience

Placement Cell is truly great and gets almost all of the students placed. Students become eligible after 7th Sem. Highest package is around 40 LPA and average is 5 LPA. Profiles are SDE, Analyst, Devops engineer etc. After doing my job for few years, I'll be going for my MBA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is standardised based on your category. Category 1 students get an annual scholarship of 50000 subject to maintaining you GPA more than 8.0. Job I got on campus was of 6LPA from Tredence Analytics Pvt. Ltd. Internship opportunities are also there but I took off campus internship in my third year.

Campus Life

Diverse group is present in the campus and Gravitas and Riveira are two Fests which attracts students fromall over India. Almost all of the sports are available in the campus and students are encouraged to participate in them. There are many clubs as well which are leaded by student bodies.

Hostel Facilities

Rented a room which is directly outside of VIT University. Monthly rent was 17000 for 2 BHK. 4 people stayed in one flat and had 2 2-wheelers vehicles which made the commute easy. We're also allowed to take our vehicles inside in case of any need.

Admission

VITEEE is an entrance level examination which needs to be taken for admission. I studied for JEE and therefore VITEEE was easier and preparation was also done side by side. There is no negative marking in the examination and Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English Qs are asked.

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

THE REALITY

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

My aim is to go cinema field.So,only I choose visual communication.After choosing visual communication only i can understood the real world is so different I can't get it anything easy I want to work hard to get the position I want to be.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

Experienced faculties, their constant encouragement to students to participate in seminars, lectures, internships, intercollegiate programs and other research based conferences and activities.
The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

The curriculum covers important subjects such as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, bio processing, principles of chemical engineering, and wr have hands on practice through pur well-equipped laboratory sessions.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

I like the MBA to learn about the marketing domain and gather the proper information. And I planned to do the course in the KVIM and they used the digital methods to the course and the give the proper content to succeed the course

My great experience in HIMT

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Admission:

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.
