Entrance Preview
I took WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). My rank was 9528. I choose Techno India because I had heard that it is a very good college and they provide good placements. The college campus is also very nice.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college follows WBUT ( presently MAKAUTB) syllabus. I enjoyed the course curriculum. The syllabus covers all the corners related to that particular branch of engineering. If a student can thoroughly follow the classes and the books recommended by the syllabus itself, he/she will gain a superior knowledge regarding that branch of engineering.
Internships Opportunities
The college always guide the students to join many training programs and internships. But most of them are with no pay. The college issues NOC letter so that the students can apply for training in any institution. The college arrange training an internships.
Placement Experience
The placement cell is very good. The placement record have been very good for a long time. Every year almost 95% students get placed in different companies. Although IT industry is the main recruiter. Big companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgimini recruite students. Through core companies also come for placements.
College Events
Every year cultural fest is organised. There is a cultural committee in this college, they organize this fest which continues for 3 days. Many great performers come to this fest. Besides that every year Tech fest is organised. Dance competition, singing competition, gaming contest, freshers are also organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is not that expensive . Almost all the private colleges in West Bengal under WBUT charges the same. We have to pay almost 39k per semester. During admission process they take additional 20k, which they do not refund. It gets adjusted as fees for several training programs.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, the college do not provide scholarships but there is is a bank in the college campus. all the financial transactions are made through this bank. This bank offer loan facility but the student should have good marks.
Campus Life
The campus life is amazing. There are swimming pool, playground in the campus. There are many cultural groups in this college. So far the gender ratio is concerned I feel it is almost 55:45 (male:female). Though there are most number of male students in core departments. In the IT department or Electronics there are more girl than boys.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good. They come to the college, interact with students. Some had formed different NGOs. They encourage students to join there NGOs. Seniors are very helpful. They maintain a ragging free campus.
Exam Structure
We have to sit for 2 semester exams in each year. In the B.Tech course there are total 8 semesters. Odd semester period is from August to November and the exams take place in 1st week of December. Even semester period is from February to May and the exams take place in June. We have to sit for two internal exams in each semester.
Admission
I got admission in this college through the online counselling process of WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board). After I got my rank I had to give a choice list in the WBJEEB counselling portal. I put Techno India up in the list . After the counselling process I got that college.
Faculty
The faculty of this college are extremely qualified and experienced. They maintain a a friendly atmosphere in the class room. They always cover the whole syllabus before exams. The give valuable suggestions so that we can prepare well for the exams. The teachers always try to solve problems given by each students so that no one in the class left with confusion.
