Entrance Preview

I took the VITEE entrance examination. Securing a good rank I choose electronics and communications in VIT because the infrastructure and labs for the electronics course are excellent. Also, the curriculum was on par with industrial needs.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses are well designed keeping in mind the researches in those courses. Some of the courses are PBL (project-based learning) means you need to submit projects related to that course to pass in that subject. Other courses are well focused on research, You can individually carry out your research works. Labs are well maintained and have sufficient resources for your research work.

College Events

There are 2 technical events. Gravitas and Riviera. Gravitas is a technical fest where different clubs organize various competitions. It is held in September. Riviera is a non-technical cultural fest held in February. Various singers came and perform on stage. We have a DJ night on the last day of Riviera.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. The 2013 batch fee structure was a 1.17 lakh tuition fee. Room and mess fees depend on student choice. If you choose a 1-bed ac room then it will cost 67k whereas a 6-bed non-ac cost about 12k. If you choose a special mess it will cost around 38k whereas veg mess will cost about 40k.

Fees and Financial Aid

Various scholarships are offered to the merit holder students in the state boards or CBSE boards. Scholarships range from full fee waiver to 25% fee waiver. Some needy meritorious students whose parents average students low receive a full fee waiver under the STAR scholarship program.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network is very huge and widespread. Seniors are very friendly and help juniors in every possible way. This is a ragging free campus. Most of the alumni are successful one which ranges from CEO of various startups to product managers in Google.

Faculty

The faculties are really good. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders with a keen interest in their subjects and are involved actively in the research work. Each month hundreds of research papers are published by the faculties in well-known reputed journals and conferences like IEEE etc. Faculties are also good at teaching.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

The network connectivity in girls hostel is poor
The food at mess is average sometimes it is not taste
The practical labs are help at distance.

Placement Experience:

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students

Likes

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

It's like Schools .There will be special class if you didn't get much marks like schools .

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

Placement is very excellent in this college. Nearly all eligibility students get placed every year. Many recruiters are recruiting their employees through this college. The minimum package is 3 lakh per annum.
