Remarks

I also applied for MIT, VIT, BITS, SRM.So I found the fees to be high for BITS and in comparison to SRM, Vit is better and it's the same case with MIT. For the admission process, you need to write an exam that is conducted online for which you need to apply the cost for that is 1000 and the after exam based on your merit list there is seat allocation for which you need to pay 5000. For getting CSE in VIT, Vellore you need to score less than 20000.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In Vit, we follow FFCS which means you need to select the faculty and the subject and also the timing by yourself. So that's very different from all the universities in India. You can get all the courses also if not related to your stream you can also select that if you want. The faculty is quite nice and you can ask doubt after the class also they will surely encourage you for doing research and developing new things. Most of the time they teach directly from the presentation. The student: faculty ratio is 60:1 but you will get the things very clearly. There are 8 IPS, 2 CAT, 1 FAT, 4 PAT, and many quizzes all of these are names of exams.

Placement Experience

4.5

Particularly for CSE, the placements are pretty good. Many MNC's come to give placements like amazon, Google, Microsoft, HP and many more give salaries up to 50 lakhs.90% of students get placed. The average salary is 6-7 lakhs. From the 6th sem that is the 3rd year, you are eligible to get placed. If you want to do a master's you can do a master's in any foreign university with the help of VIT as they have many bonds with different universities all over the world.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are two types that are distributed in 5 phases. The fees for phase 1 is 200000 and the fees for phase 2 is 250000 and the fees for phase 3 is 300000 and the fees for phase 4 is 400000 and the fees for phase 5 is 500000. If you are your state board topper you will get a 100% scholarship. If in VITEEE you scored the top 10 ranks than 75% scholarship and if you scored top 100 than 50% scholarship and if you scored in top 1000 then 25% scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

There are two fests that are Rivera and gravitas. Rivera takes place in February whereas gravitas takes place near Diwali. Many celebrities come during that fest to perform. There are more than 20000 books and more than 2000 papers and journals. There is a team for every different sport and they compete with different universities. There are 3 gyms separate for boys and girls and basketball, tennis, swimming pool, indoor games, and many more grounds. The labs are well equipped and you can easily do research with the desired equipment, may smart classes, an auditorium, and many more things do exist. Many clubs like Kshatriya, Ojas that make cars and drone, E2PC, many NGOs are available for students to join and they are also run by students.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the room, you are provided with a bed, Fan,a cupboard, lights, and common TV. You need to bring the pillow, bedsheets all by yourself. The room registration process is based on your CGPA so higher your CGPA, you are given the priorities to select your room and roommates. The selection process is offline in a normal scenario. The fees range from 100000 to 45000. Both AC and Non AC rooms are available and 2,3,4,6 bedded rooms are available. There are 3 types of Mess: Veg, Non-Veg, Special mess that costs 50000,55000,65000 The food is not as you get at your home but also not that bad

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
