A short review on AOT(Academy Of Technology)

At first, I have to register for WBJEE counseling 2020 in online mode. Then on the counseling day, I had to make the choice of filling and locking the seats from the allotted institutes. Before the counseling process, I have to upload certain documents like Domicile, class 10 and 12 marksheets, passport size photo, etc. The list of colleges that I had selected was IEM(Institute Of Engineering and Management), Heritage Institute Of Technology, Kalyani Government Engineering College, Jadavpur University, Government College Of Engineering and Textile Technology, AOT(Academy Of Technology), etc. In the 1st round only, I got the chance to book the seat of AOT in CSE(Computer Science And Engineering). And I haven't availed of any quota. Whatever I have got, it's all on the basis of my WBJEE rank. In this way, my journey to AOT had started.

Here in this college, placement is good i.e both on and off-campus placement is available, which is very beneficial for the students. And there are nearly 15 teachers for a CSE student of different subjects. The teaching method is very good here in this college and some teachers have also done Ph.D. In any entire semester, our college takes 2 internal exams in the gap of 2 months and after that our sem exam starts in 2-3 months duration.

The different internship programs are available from the 2nd year onwards, but it's better to do internships from the end of the 2nd year onwards for career development. Projects will be given by their respective subject teachers and we might take help from the seniors as well as from the teachers also. You will surely achieve results but for that, you have to work hard.

3rd year onwards, students can be eligible for an internship project for carrier development and can get the job by scoring well in both academic and extra curriculum activities. Almost 95-97% of students from the CSE department are getting placed every year. In our college, almost 10-20 companies are coming on campus every year. After completing my BTech, I would like to be placed among the top packages and also like to do higher studies.

The fee for odd semester exams is 41K and the fee for the even semester exams is 50k. In an even semester, 10k is more because our college provides advanced training in coding. And I am currently studying in the 2nd year, but one of our seniors in the 4th year got placed with a 15 lakh package per annum, which is quite good.

Arcadia is one of our biggest annual fest which happens in the month of April every year, but due to this corona pandemic, it couldn't take place for the last 2 years. It is very enjoyable and any student can participate in that fest. The library is also there in our college and every book of 2-3 different authors are available, which is very helpful for the students and for the teachers also. In sports, football, cricket, badminton, volleyball tournament happens where any students can participate and show their respective skills and can enjoy the game. There is also a cultural group, where students can give their best poems and drawings for magazines and books.
