Entrance Preview

I took CEET exam in year 2000 and got a rank of 3720. When I went to Hisar for counselling, my preference was a free seat in Computers/Electronics in Sonepat. I found that there was only 1 free seat remaining for Electronics & Communication in BM Institute of Eng & Technology which made me believe that it's a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is designed very intelligently so that students can make a switch to another course even after 1 year into a particular course. Students were free to pick up their choice of summer training as per one's interest so that one can excel in what he/she does. Students are promoted to spend time in labs trying out new things to bring innovation out of them.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college does not provide internship. I can not tell about now but at our time in year 2004, there was no internship provided by college. Instead students were free to pick up their interests during 1.5 months summer training.

Placement Experience

2.5

There were not many placements in year 2004. Only one company came. Name of the company was Sterling Communications. It picked up a dozen students. Few of my friends were also selected and it felt very bad as i could not attend that interview. Company offered a salary of Rs 8000 per month and my friends went to chennai for joining.

College Events

4

Annual fest, freshers' party, farewell party are three main festivals held every year. At our time, all of these were celebrated with students participation and students were main organisers along with college staff. But now we have heard of Euphoria and other groups being roped in for college events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I was holding a free seat from year 2000-2004 and my annual fee was Rs 12000 per annum which was feasible for me. Payment seat was a bit expensive at Rs 60000 per annum. Now i have heard that fee structures have changed there is no concept of free and payment seat now.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any scholarship/loan facility offered by Bhagwan Mahavir institute of eng and technology. At least in our time (year 2000-2004), there was none and i am not aware about present situation.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio was on a lower side for females. In ECE batch of 2000-2004, there were 8 girls in a class of 60. In computers, it was a bit better with around 20 girls in class of 60. College was not gender biased. It was admission process that resulted in such kind of gender inequality in classes.

Exam Structure

Semester exams were on time every 6 months with appropriate preparation time between each exam. So there was not much tension for exams. Lot of internal exams were also taken to keep students up-to-date and prepared for semester exams.Labs were part of curriculum and we enjoyed spending time in labs.

Faculty

4

Faculty excelled in their subjects. Their main intention is to bring best out of students. Sometimes faculty face hostility from students because of attendance etc but they were considerate enough to not take it personally and just focus on shaping our careers. College organise faculty development program from time to time for enhancing standards.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

I had interest in full stack development, wanted to create websites. This course has collaboration with Xebia which provides a better learning approach for full stack No much improvement if the teacher appointed is great Timings of exam is really average but it is somewhat easy. Lookout for some exams because the faculty sometimes makes tough and tricky paper just to fail students
