Remarks

The college management rules and regulation are found to strict when comes to maintaining attendance and taking leaves without any reason. However, they help us in our academic progress for our career.

Entrance Preview

I attended AEEE(Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination).I got rank 7038.During my counseling,I opted electronics and instrumentation.I opted this college because i heard that we could pursue knowledge- based education better when compared to "Colleges affiliated to Anna University".

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Curriculam includes the engineering mathematics, basic knowledge about softwares including Cad, Fgpa,C with Linux as operating system, core engineering subject includes Control systems, Process Control and Industrial Instrumentation,Electrical and Electronic circuits. These are subjects are taught and experimented at lab so that students may involve themselves in research.

Internships Opportunities

The college provided good opportunities in the software domain, rather than opportunities in core engineering domain. The average CTC was about 2.-3.5 lpa. We had good opportunities until we got placed

Placement Experience

3.5

We had a decent placement and job opportunities.Nearly 80% of class got placed in software companies, but in that only less than 20% of the students only got other jobs including Data Analyst,Graduate Engineer Trainee. Some of the notable core engineering companies includes Continental GT-3.8lpa,TCS(Engineering And Industrial Services)-3.33LPA, Analytic Quotient-3.3lpa and Knowledge Lens-5LPA respectively.

College Events

3

Anokha is the only cultural and techfest conducted within college by engineering students. This will be conducted for three days and the college would be entirely loaded with fun filled activities everywhere. But, All that costs you lots of money.Students from various colleges around the city will participate

Fee Structure And Facilities

They have an expensive fee structure of 2.42 lpa for a hostel student. This is divided as 1.25l for tuition fees,40k for mess fees and 27k for hostel fee while i entered on 2013.But now the college fees has has risen to 2.2 lakhs per year only for tuition fees

Campus Life

3.5

The ratio of boy:girl is 3:1.Extra-curricular works are less popular among students, since the interest shown the university on them is very low. Various clubs and Induction are conducted for the favor of students to expose their potential.Very rarely political issues arises on the name ethnicity between various-state students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels is good for all the four years. There will be time to time cleaning of the corridors and toilet-attached bathroom. The hostel rent ais about 27k and the good part is that single rooms are allotted for the final year students.Mess food is disappointment at times and Night canteen would be preferred to finish up your half-dinner.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network played a major role for getting the right the right direction to pursue your dreams.

Exam Structure

The exams were really frustrating me since I couldnt perform well and get my CGPA getting good enough.Maintaining CGPA made my day hectic. The Lab were difficult to when we had too many surprise quizzes and tutorials. The exam structure was hard enough to improve your grade,so that you should have better concept clarity while facing your end semester exams.

Faculty

4

The Faculty here are friendly most of the times during lab sessions.I had a pretty good class room experience with clarifying my doubts and to assess where i am in studies. Some of the IITians and NITians who taught us also provided research oriented stuffs to get inspired while studying. Also, rarely we used to have a good discussion regarding advancements in technology.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.
