Remarks
Various placement opportunities are present in our college. It also has good scope in core branches. Research is also promoted in our college. It is an institute of national importance and also has good nirf ranking. All the departments are given equal attention and the laboratories are well equipped.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty student ratio is great in all departments. All the teaching faculties are well qualified ( maximum are PHD holders and research scholars). In online mode they teach through powerpoint presentation. For the laboratory classes videos are provided of the experiments being performed in the laboratory by the professors itself.
Internships Opportunities
No till now I haven't opted for any internship programmes but there are many national and even international companies that takes students from our college for internship programmes. For example Microsoft, Amazon, CERN Geneva ,BHEL etc. They provide moderate stipend and some are even without stipend. They give different projects and if performed well they can also recruit the students directly for job purposes.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities are very good. Each branch gets opportunities of placements be it core or software. Computer science students are highly recruited. Many big and international companies like Amazon, Microsoft etc. visit our college for placements. Highest package goes around 44 l.p.a. and average package is around 10-12 l.p.a. This varies with different branches. Percentage of placement goes as high as 85-90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from around 5th-6th semesters.
College Events
I won't be able to describe the life at the campus as online mode of education is going on due to the pandemic issues. But as far as I have heard our campus is vast and we'll maintained will all the essential facilities available inside the campus itself. There are numerous extracurricular activities in which one cn take part. Different social groups and clubs are run by students which one can be a part of.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of our college is almost same as that of other nits and some private institutes. There are many scholarships available for different categories like single girl child, reservations, economically weaker sections etc. Job opportunities are vast as the placement scenario is good and constantly improving for all departments. Students usually get moderate to high packages.
Campus Life
The campus infrastructure is very good and constantly improving. There are different sports facilities for almost every sport one can take part in. Wifi is high speed and free inside the campus. The library is large, spacious and contains every required book be it course related or not. Laboratories are well equipped and the damaged equipments are constantly exchanged.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostel but haven't visited the campus till now due to the online mode of teaching but got to know from the seniors that the hostel rooms are spacious having wardrobes, beds and study tables provided for each student. One must share a room with someone till the third year. It is affordable. Meal quality is moderate and the menu is fixed for a week unless there's a special occasion.
Admission
I had to appear in the joint entrance examination main ( JEE main) to acquire admission in this institute. I took coaching classes for 3 subjects to prepare for these examinations. 5-6 hours of self study is required per day for almost 2 years to qualify this examination and secure a good rank.
