Remarks

I chose asutosh college for my graduation because this institution provides perfect platforms both for academic and for extra co-curricular and cultural activities. It is a perfect blend of a unique system of education possessing all the facts a student dreams of. Asutosh college was my dream college and i feel lucky enough to be admitted here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of my course is very appropriately set. And the college faculty also actively provides us with a good learning and understanding ambience. Professors are student friendly and teach very well. Practical classes are conducted on time and are conducted perfectly. Classes are designed timewise perfectly. Alltogether it becomes very enjoyable to study in asutosh college

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 7230 per year

Placement Experience

Depends on the interests of students mainly people choose bsc general course to get a graduate degree and to become eligible for giving government exams. Some of them choose this to get a graduate degree and after that they like to continue with entrepreneurship or any different thing according to their interest.

College Events

Our college organises different events almost every two months. We have our college fest known as udaan which is one of the most renowned fests of kolkataThen we have our winter carnivalThen we have our sportsThen we have our badminton league Then we have our football leagueThen we have our cricket league Apart from this independence day celebration and bhasa dibosh which is actually celebrating the essence of Bengali language is also organised.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not availed as my travelling route to college is very comfortable from my home and i belong to Kolkata only so it is not required. If would have been living in some other district unlike the district in which my college is situated then obviously traveling would have been a trauma on a daily basis then i would have opted to stay in a hostel.

Hostel Facilities

I have not opted i live in my home as i belong to kolkata only and my travelling route is also very easy so it is not required for me to stay in a hostel. Students whi come from different districts of bengal to study here are most likely to stay in hostels as they have their homes faraway and regular travelling shall get quite hectic on a regular basis so they opt to stay in a hostel

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

Likes

They provide you with various oppertunities like exposure visits, seminar , worshops, etc.

Dislikes

Labs are not well maintained the machines are very slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Study pressure is not that much it will be sufficient to stu61 months before final exam
No strict college there is not compulsory to wear college uniform
Faculty are good they are supportive helpful

Dislikes

College campus is small infrastructure is not good
Placement and internship opportunities is very less
Number of students in each batch is more

Curricullum is quite ok crowd of students are more coding culture should be introduced need of improvement of infrastructure as well in my batch 2023 to 2027 there is total 3 exam in each semester including end sem and 2 test

Likes

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well
Teacher are very good and friendly for us

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

Placement Experience:

Since the syllabus is quite up to date, students learn a lot and are way ahead of their age group students. Most of the students qualify for placements with attractive packages. The university also encourages internships that carry credits in their academic report.

I wanted to take journalism and Mass Communication, and that too in Kolkata. I came to know that by word of mouth, this is one of the best colleges in Kolkata for Mass Communication, with around six professors for a single course. A memorable time to remember

I have applied for Dinabandhu Andrews College and also New Alipore College for mathematics hons and I got selected for both the colleges and I started class in Dinabandhu Andrews College for few days but there the faculty used to talk in Bengali and the faculty members are not really good also the ambience so I applied in Asutosh College and I got selected too over there....so I shifted to Asutosh College, as I always wanted to persue this course from Asutosh College due to there faculty in this subject is really very good. Life at Asutosh Mookherjee college as a freshman

Besides getting selection in St Xavier's college and MUC college in Burdwan. I also got selected for Lady Braboune, South Calcutta girls college and many other. I didn't opt for any of there because maximum of my criteria were fulfilled in Asutosh Mookherjee college. I didn't make it to Xavier's College Kolkata due to some financial problem and in Jadavpur University, I couldn't clear the admission test. This is the best college under University of Calcutta from very old times, Specially the science department of asutosh college really excellent, The college came under TOP BEST 4 colleges of west Bengal. NAAC accredicated A grade college. The Microbio department really excellent of this college comparing others institutes.
