Remarks

Good aspects and well classified professors from IIT college and most of the sirs are form IIT college, and full centralised A/C and ambient place to study and bad aspects are it is a new college so it takes time to development of the institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

ECE course was one for me which I had dreamt about having a degree in it. Student ratios will be in the form of boys girls 70:30% and per class strength is 60 and that strength depends upon subject faculties are highly qualified with IIT mtech degree holders and few are MS degree holders with high experience in teaching.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience

Cgc carrier guidance cell from college offers a good placements for every student from ranging package CTC from 5lpa to 15lpa for 2018 batch. And there are lot of internship offers for students who get selected for the company.

Fee Structure And Facilities

140000 per sem, State scholarship portal, and there won't be any hike as far as we came through. For everyone depending upon the criteria for scholarship Karnataka state portal (SSP) Campus placements are provided by cgc.

Hostel Facilities

College has very well structured was new built campus with boys and girls and girls hostel was built by Infosys foundation And it has all the facilities in it. And good nature around the campus to spend time

Admission

No, topics of GD , Interview question or test pattern. I prepared a lot for JEE exam and I got seat in Indian institute of information technology Dharwad

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Likes

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

Course Curriculum Overview:

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. The admission process here is same as all other IITs, clear JEE Advanced exam and apply for JoSAA counseling to be admitted to this Institute....Read More

After that you will receive mail from college regarding admission process. You will need ur documents like marksheet of 10th and 12th, aadhar card, medical certificate,? TC, etc....Read More
