VIT Vellore review

For eligibility in undergraduate enginering he or she should have secured atleast 55% in Physics,Chemistry and Biology/Maths in your 10+2 exams. This critera is reduced to 45% for certain reserved categories. The application form can be found at the vit website itself and the application fees is 1250 ruppes. the exam date was form 3rd june and continues for 3 weeks. Did not avail any Reservation benefits Improvement in admission process-Nothing as such

VIT is one of the most well known universities in india and computer science was a field i was always intrested to explore and pursue. The CSE curriculum is well prepared and the syllabus helps you grow in leaps and bounds The student - faculty ratio is around 16 The faculties are at least PHD holders . Teaching varies from one faculty to another but generally i have enjoyed the teaching meathods with every teacher havong their own unique way of teaching. Regariding the exam structure, in a semester we have CAT-1 , CAT-2 and FAT exams CAT (Continoues Assesment Test) happens every 1-3 months for a duration of 1 hour(in the onlne mode) and is out of 30marks and has 15% overall weightage EACH in your final result . CAT-2 is generally harder than CAT-1 both do NOT have a passing criteria. FAT(Final Assesment Test ) is the final exam aka term end exam has 50% weightage in the final result. And you MUST have atleast 40% marks to pass in the course and its not very hard to pass.

From the the third year students can get internships and fourth year onwards they can sit for the final year placements. Around 118 companies visted the campus last year Highest package was 74 lakhs and 84% of students are placed My plan is to gice the CAT exam and pursue MBA.

The fees is certainly higher than most collages but acoording to me its worth it .The environment that VIT creates is something that is must needed in any institution and is something that will help us excel in our academics . Not aware

Vit has a sports and cultural fest called Rivera which happens in the month of February for around 3-4 days. Guests from various parts of india and celebrities are exclusively called to perform. All in all these are the most fun days of your collage life. The library has ample amount of books for each and every subject . There are multiple copies of the famous ones . The are many sport facilities availabe inside the campus. Plus it is compulsory for us to attend atleast one of th extra ciricular activity for a semester. There are many domain related clubs in vit vellore. The most prominent ones are Google devlopers club, codechef club, music club, Red cross etc. Joining a club is not compulsary but i highly recommend you join atleast one .. Why? Because joining a club helps you learn skills that are very much required in life outside collage. Be it communication, working together for a project, teamwork, technical skils etc.
