Remarks

The admission process is smoothly guided. First, the needful application is taken by the Mumbai university and thereafter, directed to the college forms. The application is immediately released on the official college website after the university forms were made available. Eligibility criteria: 60% There are special provisions for Obc/SC/ST along with minority quota through which I applied as well. As per the improvement, it would really benefit the students if the announcements and dates are sent via automated mails after application.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Bmm is a really freespirited and practical course. I think one major advantage in this field is the versatility of opportunities to study and work for. There are 6 subjects, each with a different faculty and 100 students in a batch. So the ratio is quite justified and balanced. The attention is well distributed. There are some industry experts that take up guest lectures regularly. The faculty is well qualified and hold a good experience in the practical fields which is of utmost importance while teaching in this field. Moreover, the faculty is young and dynamic every semester making it easier for students to relate to their experiences. Again, going back to my previous statement, it's a field of practical application of knowledge so the more you participate and proactively indulge into events, the easier it is to clear the exams. The exams are timely and sincerely procured.

Internships Opportunities

4

Industry experts who come to give lectures observe and pick students for internships. Small scale media companies often the campus and observe but landing an internship in the city is easier when you mention the college name.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee increases every year by 1000 or so. Other than the year fees, no other amounts are asked under the pretext of educational benefits/facilities. Financial assistance is provided if you can produce a proof of your situation. Scholarships are announced and generously informed time and over again by the faculty making it quick and easy to avail to.

Campus Life

4

The cultural fest Ole happens in the month of March and the BMM fest Polaris happens in the month of February. Both the fests are celebrated loudly and are amazing. Personally, I look forward to them. The library is well acquitted and holds some of the oldest and latest sources. Class room experience is lacking due to the online lectures but as per the visits, they are airy and have the needful facilities. There are basketball, football teams and have a gymkhana that is again well acquitted. Other than that, there is a literature club, theatre and drama club, cultural club, nature club and many other such clubs having their own respective fests as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.
