Remarks

The cutoff score should be high like 190 above which may vary slightly every year actually https://www.tneaonline.org/ here you can find all the things you need to apply and all. If availed course fees will be deducted by Rs.4000 and also other scholarships after admission can also be availed. Like personally I feel like we should work hard to get into a college that's good but working hard to get the course is not fine, I want the college to allow the students to choose their own course only with a single limit of 180 cutoffs something like that, that too to enter the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

To be honest I got this course by my choice preferences not by my liking my first choice was computer science. About faculty to student ratio can't say accurately because counting the number of faculties only in our department will not make sense because many subjects will be taken by other department teachers too so roughly 14 teachers our department + maybe 8 teachers out of department so 22:60 which will be 11:30 In our department everyone is good they know what they teach and they are also very friendly, about teaching method I found some of best passionate teachers and also the worst but we would always remember the best that's the way some teachers are here (their) teaching methods were simply mind-blowing as they teach it with simple language and varied examples. Exams were easy just that simply studying overnight one could pass and also get good marks. Exams were the same as like other colleges two internals and one(external) semester exam in a semester (6 months).

Internships Opportunities

3

Actually, internships to my department were less because of COVID maybe but our department professors are so friendly one can get to them or CUIC placement cell for internship. There will be a lot of guidance available for students if they are willing to do something useful and interesting and also out of the book. The professors and faculty will encourage and provide the best possible guidance for the student.

Placement Experience

3

From the seventh semester, students become eligible to become for the placements. Caterpillar, Hyundai, Wabco, Daimler etc. Three got placed in Caterpillar and many got placed on IT companies. The highest is 12LPA by Caterpillar and the lowest is 3.75LPA by TCS. Actually, it was worse in the earlier years but this year the percentage was around 50% My plan is to get working knowledge on what I studied so I will work.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got Alumni Scholarship only once for hostel fees which were 21000, where 11000 was paid by Alumni Association. And twice I got a community scholarship which will be available mostly to everyone who applies.

Campus Life

3.5

Fests are the main here, which is a must to participate also to organise. Some of them are Kurukshetra, Techofes. Very resourceful and big library and many copies are available for a subject book it makes it easy for multiple students to take up the book for a particular subject to study during exam time. We have a washing machine for Rs.200/8kgs of clothes and also printing paper amenities. Here one can truly develop their training in sports if they wish to follow because they will be easily accompanied by one or the other. And there are lots of events inside also outside the campus for sports. A lot of clubs are available it is a must for a fresher to look for them all and build a good rapport with these clubs. There is also incubation available for startups by students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Just a double-deck cot and some shelves and ac available if paid more. A decent meal ensures variety and they ensure there is no repetition in the week. Very tiring process and a lot of queues it is better if one may get into registration very soon. And the fees are affordable if one feels to apply for a scholarship they can do it and getting a scholarship is very probable.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
