The college is gradually growing. leaving us with a good experience. will definitely enjoy your stay in LPU

Entrance Preview

In 2010 the the college provided there own entrance exam which required a minimum of 50 % to clear the exam, at the time of my admissions there was a lot of marketing done by them and some of good offering (Discounts / Scholarships) towards the fee structure which influenced my decision but the main deciding factor was the campus visit as the campus was so good as compared to any other that were there.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is fairly detailed and well planned giving a technical growth in each sem, However I felt that there was less stress on the core technologies which are regularly used in the industry.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they do provide internship,with a very less stipend.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are very less,however there is a constant effort to increase them. No big recruiters came to campus for bulk hire.As they also do not promote a last sem training, So placements is much of a fight over there

College Events

There are a good number of fests which are organized in the college along with that there are regular visits of the celebs (movie stars, singer ) in the campus and with a little fight you can easily participate and may be organize the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee structure is initially expensive, but if you even are an average student you can easily avail a scholarship which tends to lower some burden of the parents as a lot of scholarship program are available with them.

There are many Scholarship available there was a sports Quota, an internal exam was there for a scholarship of 20k.

Campus Life

The crowd in the college is good and there are places where students can hangout with the society's clubs that are available although there is a less amount of time available

Hostel Facilities

The hostel Mess was in real mess, as the food in there was very bad. The stay in the hostel is also not good But still there is no ragging or any disturbing stuff for the students, so if you a internet junkee you could like your stay in the hostel otherwise staying in a PG is a better option as you get good food in them

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

The interaction with the seniors was only in the hostel, as the influence of the seniors was close to null in the college

Exam Structure

There are a good no. of labs available for the student and the number of times which a student can use the labs are more as compared to any other college.The exams were in good numbers including the internal leaving very less amount of time with the students for any other activity

I was in B.Tech (CSE) the faculty at our time was in large numbers and majority of them were IITans, and rest all of them were alaumni from some good institutions they were helpful and technically capeble of teaching the students

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
