Course Curriculum Overview
Interest in electronics and it was well suitable at my rank A faculty teaches a class of about 60 students at a time. Some faculties are supportive and guiding while others are a bit strict and don't solve doubts Exams in one semester- CAT-1 (50 marks), CAT-2[50 marks], FAT(100 marks)
Internships Opportunities
Internships on campus are mostly backed by CS/IT students and companies like Microsoft, Jp Morgan, and Chase, Visa start coming from the 3rd year onwards. You have to be good at DSA and at least one programming language to get through. Companies offering internships start coming from the beginning of the third year.
Placement Experience
Around 700 companies visit the campus. If you're an ECE student you are eligible from almost 200 companies. For ECE: Avg package - 6-8LPA; Highest package - 30LPA; Lowest package- 3LPA. The whole final year is full of placement opportunities and you will surely get placed if you obey the rules. Almost 100 percent placement is the proud claim of VIT
Fees and Financial Aid
1,98,000 was the tuition fee for Electronics and Communication Engineering. Total expenditure for 4 years including mess and hostel fee will be around 12 lakhs. You can easily manage your expenses with 3000 a month for laundry, eating out, etc. You get a scholarship if you rank<1000 in VITEEE. I got a job at Deloitte
Campus Life
Cultural fest- Riviera Tech fest - Gravitas The infrastructure is good and the campus is around 400 acres. 18 Men's Hostel blocks and 7 Ladies Hostel blocks. Labs are well equipped. A classroom generally has around 60 students. Gym, Badminton court, swimming pool, etc.(you have to pay around 3000 for one semester) 150+ clubs and chapters. These include various cultural and technical clubs. IEEE, TEC, CSI are good technical clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are average but you learn to adjust. There are options for 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed, and 6 bedrooms in both AC as well as NON-AC categories. You can select your roommates from the 2nd year onwards but you have to have a good CGPA for that. No ragging, 24 hours water and electricity. Mess in the first year is bad but after that it becomes good.
