just need to give JEE MAINS and apply for NIT RAIPUR in JOSAA counseling, sc candidates can get this college under 5000 ranks, the process of admission was smooth and at my time it was whole online so nothing to worry about the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose electrical because I want to explore this field because it is the second most interesting field in engineering after CS, faculty in the electrical branch is excellent they all are well qualified most of them are P.hd holders and many of them are from IITs electrical branch in NIT Raipur is one of the best department from last 2 years, term exams are not that hard to pass since questions are from teachers notes only so no worry in passing the exam.
Internships Opportunities
The internship offer came from the institute is non-stipend based internship so didn't get any stipend as the internship was more of a tour type internship and it is more focused on learning the new things
Placement Experience
from the 4th semester onwards internship is offered to students here in the electrical department and also you are fully eligible for jobs from the 7th semester many companies visits NIT Raipur like TCS, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, and many more such as big core and non-core companies visit NIT Raipur Campus, a good number of students are placed from electrical department around 70% from which highest package was 25 lacs/annum and avg package was 12 lacs/annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
if you are an SC candidate then it is not that hard to pay institute fees since it is well below than 15000 and also if you applied for an NSP scholarship then all the fees will be refunded if you are selected for an NSP scholarship which is quite likely you will if you are an SC candidate.
Campus Life
NIT Raipur annual fest is one of the best fests you will get across NITs which is conducted by juniors and seniors combined named Eclektika and there are many more fests conducted by the institute, NIT Raipur has its own digital library which you can access after you are part of its integrity from time to time there are international conferences are conducted by the electrical department, especially for the electrical students, sports facility are also good enough here so, you will not find boredom around you, there are many groups/societies for which you want to be part of it includes dance club, music club Raaga , robotics club many more such societies are there
Hostel Facilities
facilities provided in the hostel room are kind of okay types since it is not that good and at the same time not that bad it is decent enough for students staying in those rooms mess food is kind of eatable, the registration process of the hostel is based on CPI and also reservation and distance far apart from NIT Raipur since here hostel rooms shortage is there.
