As per my experiences hitherto with regard to the department I would like conclude that the department is equipped with all kinds of facilities which are very important for the purpose of the betterment of students and their results as well. But some deme

Entrance Preview

I appeared in the entrance exam named URATPG-2015 in order to take admission in of the prestigious teaching departments of the university. I was deeply influenced by the personality of the teacher of English at my school and his way of teaching and I too wanted to become a little bit like him. This is something what made me to take up this kind of course and such a renowned institution across Rajasthan. I was damn sure of my admission even before the declaration of the entrance exam's result. I procured 50 marks out of 70 and then it ensured my admission. There was no interview for taking up admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The ultimate decision of taking up admission into M.A. English seems to be a great one. The entire faculty of teaching members is very good, kind and quiet helpful. The way of teaching of all of the lecturers is impressive and outstanding. The campus of the department is equipped with all sorts of facilities including - fully Wi-Fi enabled campus and rich library and separate reading room. Apart from this there is also a staff room and office in the department.

Placement Experience

4.5

I have come across several people who have got a prestigious post in the various departments of high honour under Govt. of Rajasthan including R.A.S., Senior School Lecturer, College Lecturer and so on. There are two professors in the department who have passed out or completed their Post Graduation from the very department where I have taken admission. Those, for me it is a kind of placement and more than a placement. The people who had ever been a student of this department and are now designated at a good post sing the story of the success of the department itself.

College Events

3.5

There are a number of events that have taken place hitherto in the department-1. Fresher's Party 20152. Literature Festival 3. Interactive Conversational Session with Foreign Students4. A lecture organised by the department and delivered by famous theatre personality in the reference of Shakespeaian Drama.5. A conference on Girl Sanitization and Protection Apart from these events there have been several events which I had missed out unfortunately but the aforementioned events have been very good for me as one of these I have got 2nd Prize and bagged 2nd Spot. I have taken part in these events quiet proactively.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure seems to be quiet Good while comparing to others. There is a provision of relaxation to the weaker class or cites of the society like relaxation in the total fee to the students belonging to the SC and ST community. The fee which is payable to the department per semester is Rupees 4750/- only. It seems to a legitimate one.

Fees and Financial Aid

The department provides financial assistance to the M.Phil and Ph.D. Students during the course as per norms of UGC implemented from time to time. There is no provision of scholarship to the students of M A. but Social Judicial Empowerment Department provides scholarships to students of weaker section of the society like SC and ST and SBC, OBC, EBC.

Campus Life

4

There are too many girls who have taken up admission in the department rather than the strength of the boys. The hostel parties are quiet fine but sometimes these parties serve to the cause of quarrels over slight issues among boys. There are the students belonging to all of the castes, religion. The economic status of each student of the department varies from one to another. There is a mutual understanding and harmonious interaction between girls and boys.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is of poor standard excluding rooms and electricity facility but the mess is not up to the mark. There should be proper arrangements of food cooking according to time and serving time must be appropriate one. The hostel lacks such faci

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students have turned out to be very helpful in all way. They encourage every student inferior to them. They make us aware of all that they have experienced during their previous class in which we are studying now. This helps us a lot.

Exam Structure

The department conducts biannual examinations that is semester exams. There are four semesters in all to go throughout the entire duration of this course. I like this innovative step of the department which has been adopted in the exam scheme of M.A. Cour

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have to work on my communication skills and learn how to communicate fluently. And this course really helps me to communicate way better in English and teaches about content writing, which I am learning right now. I will say the course curriculum is good; it can be better if there is a small online lecture on Sunday, it would be great. There is no problem with the timing of the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The entire course was divided into 9 subjects. The previous year that is the first year had 4 subjects which were more of a basic understanding which included micro, macro economics and the final year had 5 subjects. The entire Economics curriculum was carefully subjugated into parts so that students can access them easily and increase their knowledge base and information about the subject. the examination was also based upon the need and fact that requires in depth understanding of the topic. Apart from this, the examination was conducted in a timely manner and the level of paper was also moderate to difficult. The marking scheme was also as per the official scheme prescribed by the university making the entire process smooth and student friendly. I personally chose this course due to the fact that I had great amount of interest towards economy and it's functioning since class 12th. So it becomes more lucrative for me to complete my higher education in it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum aptly covers all aspects of the subject that a professional should know. It prepares a person for real world too as there is equal amount of importance given to learning of theory as well as understanding the practical implications of what have been learned. A scholastic year is divided into two semesters. One semester includes coverage of 2 syllabus units after which the CA (continuous assessment) takes place. After the CA the rest 3 syllabus units are covered and then the Semester End Examinations take place. After the SEE, there is a break of around one month followed by another semester. In all, one Semester covers 5 units and overall the curriculum covers 10 units in one scholastic year in every paper code. This system allows to efficiently understand and learn about the required material without putting too much pressure at once.

It's a great university for those who wants to study but because of some problems like boys who wants to study but they also have to earn money for their family they can easily complete their studies while doing their job. Same for girls who want to study but because of some family restrictions if they are not allowed to go out for studying they can easily Complete their studies direct from home. The university also provide study material for the course which you have applied for by post to direct your residence address.
