VIT- A PLACE TO GROW

You need to give VITEEE paper and clear the cut-off marks for the desired branch. You can fill out the application on Google by just searching VIT's admission website. Application fees, dates and eligibility can be checked on the main website of VIT. The cutoff rank for CSE branch 1st category is 5000, above which you will fall under category 2 till 14k approx.

I chose the computer science course as I was keen to learn about it. The course curriculum is very good, the college provides experienced faculty with a 1:60 ratio of faculty to students. The term exams are a bit lengthy but easy to pass with constant learning throughout the semester. All the faculty have completed their Ph.D.

There are many companies offering internships with a stipend and experience which will help. A minimum of two internships are compulsory in the 4th year which gives you credits for the completion of a B.Tech degree.

Almost 100 percent campus placement is guaranteed with an average of 6.5 lakh for CSE core students. The highest package offered this year was 75 lakh. There were more than 1k companies recruiting, companies like Amazon, Dell, and Microsoft also recruited some of the college students.

The fees depend upon your rank or the category you fall into. Category 1 has the minimum fees structure while category 5 has the maximum. Fees range from 2lakh to 5 lakh per annum. Scholarships are given to exceptional and intelligent students who are amongst the top 1000 rank in VITEEE, also financial assistance to those who are economically backward.

There are more than 100 plus clubs and chapters with various fests taking place throughout the year and the most famous being Riviera. The infrastructure is very good surrounded by nature. A 250 acre of campus spread across Vellore. A top-class library working 24X7 with fully centralized air conditioning.

There are many blocks for both men and ladies with various amenities. Choices of ac and non AC room are offered. Choices for flat-type apartments are also offered. Mess menu is very good consisting of each and every food for students of various states. The registration process is a bit tiring and takes a lot of time due to poor servers.
