Remarks

The admission process is good with proper procedure. The admission process can be done through Anna University's Counselling sessions. Also, the college provides admission through mark-based on the 12th and also by sports quotas for students who are eminent in sports. The eligibility of the course varies according to the 12th mark. One can find the application form and necessary details via College website.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose B. Tech Information Technology because it is one of the fastest-growing sectors worldwide providing jobs full of opportunities for professional success. This curriculum interested me to make an improvement in the technology field. All my Professors are well experienced and most of them have their own papers published by renowned International publishers. Our Professors upgrade their skills regularly to make us face the challenges of this modern world. They teach us very clearly each and every topic not only for the point of exams but also for the point of placement interview questions and for our improvement in skills. The faculty brings out the best in us by providing internship opportunities from MNC Companies such as CISCO and Zoho, by Hackathons, or by other technical events. The term exams were conducted as per the time when conducted and it was not so much difficult to pass the term exams. Since everything is thought clearly in the classroom itself .

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The college tries to bring out our skills and the best in us by providing internship opportunities from MNC companies like CISCO, Exeterpremedia , Zoho, Virtusa, Hexaware, etc:-. The companies first keep some technical tests for the students for those who are interested in doing the internships. They will select the students as per their needs. The selected interns are then trained for the work they are going to do for one or two months. Then they will be assigned the projects for which they are interned. The interns will be stipended with an average of 7K per month. The roles offered under the internships can be App developer, Tester, Website creator, etc:-.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 6th semester, the students are eligible for campus placements. For that our college gives special training from the first year itself. Mostly IT companies like Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Zoho , Hexaware, etc:- are hiring more with high packages. The highest package is 15LPA and the average is 5LPA as per the company. Mostly 95% of them were getting placed during the placements itself and fewer were unable to clear the placements but before completing the degree they will be placed which is promised by our college. The college also has a Higher education cell for students who wish to pursue higher education and the cell emphasizes learning foreign languages such as french, german, and Korean and also teaches the students on SOP writing and gives apt guidance in joining abroad universities. My plan is to get placed in a company like Infosys, Microsoft, or amazon and work thereby equally pursuing my higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

As per Anna University, the tuition fees are structured on a Category basis not inclusive of the management quota. There is no fee hike because the amount of fee which must pay each year based on our course will be informed to us at the beginning of the admission itself with extras like hostel fee and bus fee if you avail them. There will be an amount of fee will be collected each semester as a semester fee which will be not more than Rs.1500/-. There will be scholarships available for students who belong to SCs every year and for students who get good grades with no standing arrears. There will be no financial assistance but they will give some extra period of time for paying the fees. one can also get paid by internships during the time of classes itself. Still, I didn't get any internships but my seniors got an internship stipend of more than 15K per month.

Campus Life

4.5

The tech fest or symposium is conducted in our college every year. They also conduct some tech fest within the department also. Our college has one main library and separate department libraries. The books in the library will be not only useful for exam purpose but also increases our knowledge about what we learned. Every classroom has a smartboard with a projector attached. The ventilation is also good in the classrooms. The college provides us with many clubs we can join any club that we wish for but the only problem is one can join only one club. some clubs are a horse riding club, robotics club, App development club, Programming club, etc:-. There are also sports clubs for Cricket, football, volleyball, etc:-. Extra-Curricular activities include taking seminars on some topics to juniors, teaching them programming languages, etc:-. our college is one among the colleges after NIT and VIT which has a club called "Toastmasters International" an international speaking club.

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming.
