Remarks

All students with maths and science backgrounds are eligible to appear for the common entrance test, JEE Mains after his/her 12th standard. Usually, the exam will be conducted at least once in the month of April, but according to new rules from NTA, the test will be conducted 4 times in an AY each in Jan, Feb, Mar, and April. The ranking will be based on the percentile scored, and it would be very much important to score above the 99.5 percentile for General category students. The percentile cut-off for other categories would be decided accordingly for a year.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am very much interested in Electronics and all the professors are very experienced and will guide us to prolong our career in the Hardware domain especially. There would be 30 marks for MID-Sem exams and 50 marks for END-Sem exams, (it is made 40 marks for online exams), and the remaining 20 marks would be awarded based on internals. The exams will be timely conducted throughout the semester, most probably after every 4 weeks of classwork.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Generally, 3rd year (prefinal) students are eligible for internship opportunities. Almost 80% of companies come for software profiles, and ECE students can definitely get internships in hardware companies like Qualcomm, TI, Mathworks, etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

All the final-year students are eligible for placements. There will be no college CGPA cut-offs as such, but most companies prefer students with a CGPA of more than 6.5. So maintaining CGPA above 7 or 7.5 is good. This year, the highest package offered is 62 CTC and the average is around 13 CTC. The CSE, ECE, and EEE students are eligible to sit in most of the companies, and non-circuits branch students get less chances comparatively. Most of the companies would come for Software and IT profiles, also hardware companies would come for ECE, EEE, Mech students. And also PSUs would come for Core students like BioTech, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mech, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

As mentioned the semester fee is 62500 rupees and the financial assistance will be given to those students with income below 5 lakhs per annum and to students under SC/ST caste category. Every year, Merit Scholarship is awarded to those students who excel in academics and the complete semester fee paid will be awarded as a scholarship to the student.

Campus Life

4.5

College life is so good. And the fests particularly are an integral part of the college academic activities. Every year there are two fests. One is Technozion which is conducted in the month of Nov and it is completely a technical fest. And the other is a cultural fest called Spring Spree which is conducted in the month of March or April in a grand manner.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are good. All the essentials need to be brought by the students. The LAN is provided in every room to access the internet. Generally, 1st-year students (boys) stay in 1.8 K Ultra Mega Hostel ( 2 persons in a room ), 2nd years in OLD blocks ( 3 persons in a room ), and 3rd, 4th-year students in 1K Mega Hostel ( single or 2 persons in a room ).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
