Remarks

The admission process is quite simple we have to take the LPUNEST exam which is conducted by Lovely Professional University and pass with 60 percent of aggregate marks in 10 + 2 Classes by the recognised school board and for registering for the exam we need to login to admission.lpu.in and select required course for eligibility

I choose this course firstly because of good and better placements in LPU and teaching is also nice we used to have nearly 30 students per teacher and teachers are having B. Ed degree and time to time we used to have mid and end terms and also class tests for evaluating a student

Internships Opportunities

In LPU I was offered internship in TCS for 6 months and I worked as assosiate system engineer trainee and I have worked on projects of configuring mobile plans in vodafone hungary project and in that I use create strategy and run campaigns and update required offers to students

placements in our college are excellent and from 6th-semester students are eligible for placements and also I have been part of interviews in top companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Highest package in our college in 1 crore per annum and lpu students are working in top companies like yahoo, Microsoft, Google and maximum 90 percent of students would get placements my plan after the degree is working for a top Multi-National Company

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in lpu are very affordable and for me, I used to pay 50000 per semester and I got scored good in the LPUNEST exam and got rank 120 for this I was given a scholarship of Rs 1.5 Lakh for a year and financial assistance will also be provided for those who are willing to take loans and I got placed in TCS as part of campus placements with a package of 7 lakh per annum

Campus Life

The life in campus is nice and there used to separate speaking clubs and stand up comedy shows arranged for students and there is also library with wi-fi facility and also all career regarding books and magazines are available and also classroomes are good with good infrastructure and also air conditioned and there is a big playground in our campus and in that we used to have sport marathons and various co-curricular activities and spade is one of the social club which is run by lpu campus for encouraging speaking in campus

Hostel Facilities

Our hostel rooms are good and there are both air-conditioned and as well as non air-conditioned rooms for students and in hostels bathrooms are provided with geysers and we have mineral water provided in hostels and meals are good in the canteen all types of northern dishes are available and also tastes good and registration process is simple and while we book admission we can book hostel too and I stayed in boys hostel-2 in the first year and boys hostel -6 from 2nd year to 4th year

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
