Remarks

The admission process was mostly smooth, it was a totally online procedure as it was conducted in the middle of a pandemic. We had the option to choose from a big number of colleges and courses according to our percentages. The site did crash sometimes but I personally did not face any problem during my admission, the university administration was really helpful . Everything is uploaded on the official site of Delhi University, the application dates, criteria, quotas etc are all described in great details on the site, it's quite convenient to download the available brochures and understand the whole process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose BA (H) English because I've always been an avid reader and I like to write too. So far I've really enjoyed the curriculum but I'd really like to read more from Indian authors in my syllabus as a large part of it consists of works from British authors. I choose Ramanujan College because I've heard from my seniors how good this college is, I was skeptical at first but once the classes started and I met my professors and classmates I realised it was one of my best decisions to choose this college over others. All the faculty members are highly educated and always ready to help us in every way possible, they don't limit their teaching to the books described in the syllabus they always have so much more to offer than the limited knowledge of the books. The offline exams were a big hassle after three semesters of online exams but the guidance from the teachers really helped me to understand what kind of questions will come and what kind of answers are expected from us it's easy to pass

Internships Opportunities

3.5

A number of internship opportunities are provided to the students of the college, a dedicated placement and counselling cell operates in the college which guides the students. The stipends range from 15-5000 and usually open to all the courses, many big companies like Decathlon, HDFC, Policy Bazaar etc offer these internships to the students.

Placement Experience

3.5

A lot of students were placed in many different companies in this term, most of them received quite good packages from the firms. The minimum stipend ranges from 15000-5000, companies like Decathlon, Magicpin, HDFC, Google, Policy Bazaar have visited the college and made offers. I want to pursue my masters after my graduation as I want to work in the field of academia.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of Ramanujan College is comparatively higher than many colleges of Delhi University. The college does offer financial assistance to students, during the pandemic the students who weren't able to pay the fees were helped & given concessions, the students who can't afford laptops are provided laptops too from the college and the library is open all the days of the week and books can be issued anytime.

Campus Life

5

The life at campus is great, a cultural event was organised in the month of April in which a band from Uzbekistan was invited to perform it was an amazing event. Tatva a society too organised an event Petrichor in which students from many colleges participated. The library is very well equipped and has digital catalogues, the classes are very well equipped too with proper furniture, air conditioners, fans and smart boards. The college has a football, cricket and volleyball teams which have brought laurels. There are more than 13 societies in the college catering to varied interests of the students a few of them are First Cut the film society, Tatva the Environmental society, Girl Up Ramanujan, Enactus, Outreach, NSS etc.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
